This was actually really interesting. It's funny now how day gigs are more popular than all-nighters. An older clubber still wants to go clubbing, but they would rather do midday to midnight and go home.

Re: Classic Footage

^that's the scene I grew up in.. We'd go out on weeknights dancing are arses off, taking caffeine pills initially. We had a big scene here in Orlando, it was beautiful.

The first time I went to a daytime event was Coachella in California. It was a very different feeling, but not a bad one. I remember walking into the dance tent and Adam Freeland was dj'ing. It was epic. The best time is usually while the sun is setting, particularly in a desert, because the temperature drops significantly and the music takes on a much different feeling. Then of course at night everything sounds right the later it gets.

Journalism like this is always going to fail in the end, it's like watching a comedy now.

Re: Classic Footage

Definitely. People made a real effort I found. Those shiny shirts the lads wore LOL, I definitely had one of them.

I thought I would have been at that gig (Milton Keynes right?) but saw it was 1998 and I think I went to the 1999 or 2000 one? Anyway, great footage!

Re: Classic Footage

Several of the local dj's in the mid 90's dropped these kinds of tracks here in Florida... what a vibe. the good ol days indeed.

Early 90's was a great time to be in Cocoa, Daytona, and Orlando!
