My friend Caren, and my friend Roberto*

Caren is very near and dear to my heart,

Roberto is a sweetie-pie who remembered his camera and I saw for the 2nd time in my life last night. FUNFACT- He was 2 years old when Depeche Mode's VIOLATOR was released.

Sounds like a great night. Thanks for sharing your photos as well. John's still sporting the scrubby look. :RightOn:

I'm confused as to what you meant by that last statement..... Spirit is the space formerly known as twilo, so it was a return home* for him. Or did you mean he is at a high point in his career?

Digweed said over the mic ,"It's great to be home!"

Re: not poto here , but..........DIGWEED

dude, last night was a blinder. no one wanted to leave. house was still full at 7. wild times. some seriously sick tunage going as well. exciting to hear hale bopp and connect ed and some others. god my calves hurt a ton. crowd was insane until some bitch damn near laid out poto. it was histerical, but really could have gotten nasty as the pushing was deffo rough. someone may have OD'd at 10 after 11 too.

sick night, developing photo's tomorrow. sleeping more now.

Re: not poto here , but..........DIGWEED

The same bitch that had a bleach job and black roots that pushed me when I said,"Learn to say excuse me BITCH!" was spotted falling down the stairs backwards by my roommate a few minutes later. That made me smile, it's always the little things.. :)

Re: not poto here , but..........DIGWEED

i was a little hesitant about the club before i got there. the last time i set foot in this building was april 15, 2001 for digweed vs. teanglia. they have done a lot of renovations but i will admit it has to be the best club in nyc right. it's not twilo but they did a great job.

as for the music, sean cusik played a great opening set as always. had the crowd grooving. then about 1:30 diggers took over and the place went bonkers. he started off really strong, im not a trainspotter but i did hear a lot of records from his kiss show. that moby record from 2 weeks ago, the remix of the bedrock original and many more i just dont know the names of. he got a little too hard driving that euro techno for a little in the middle but brought it back around at the end. the best part is after all the scenester's bottle service dries up and the bars stop serving yoyu have the real crowd left. i always loved that about twilo as well. diggers actually got on the mic twice and as mike noted he said "it was good to be home!" ended around 7:30 and i left the club and headed home. it was a good feeling to be making that trip again.

#470023Post 30 of 46

Re: not poto here , but..........DIGWEED

yes he did. but it doesnt matter. he could have played ""she blinded me with science"" and it would have went off.

What is this? An anti-noodle board now? Wet or not, noodles can boogey down, and deserve a little more credit than that ;)

And mr Sightless is due a little credit too, he wasnt as nearly close to sloppy as I've seen him be before, in fact he was kinda fun to be around friday night. But he didnt have many "skills" goin on that I was aware of. Maybe he busted them out during the half hour after my veterinarian visited me on the dancefloor. I dont recall much from that period... I can try to do better next time though.

Re: not poto here , but..........DIGWEED

I'm also just catching up on all the sleep I missed out on. I have to say it was worth every minute seeing Digweed play at Spirit. I never had the chance to see him play when it was Twilo, but I guess Friday night was the closest thing to it.

That drive back to Baltimore certainly isn't fun after a night like that.
