Is Soulseek dead? Did Soundcloud kill it? Are people still sharing live sets with programs like Soulseek?

Re: P2P File Sharing
I use torrents... I like to get FLAC audio files and Hi Resolution audio files (beside buying the CDs).

I've actually been considering getting a high end DA recorder and loading it up with maybe 1TB of FLAC audio.

I spent some time researching in the web about hiend DACs, and finally bought one. There´s a blog of some audiophile guy in Europe that tests many DACs (hiend brands and some chinese ones). Let me find it and I´ll post it for you.

Re: P2P File Sharing
Ah, I was looking more along the lines of something that is portable and has wifi so I can somehow piggyback off my Sonos.

I have a Fiio X5, i barely use it and the battery life is awful. It is a very sweet piece of equipment i just prefer flash drives and cds.
Re: P2P File Sharing
I just picked up a Lotoo PAW Gold Touch and sold my Sony Walkman FX507. The Sony just couldn't produce enough power that I need for my ZMF headphones and DD IEM. Highly recommend it if you have the means and want the best out there. The Sony's are good but they tend to not have enough power for some things. Lotoo PAW 6000 is the baby and close to the GT. it's nice to have a 1TB sd card in there.. I only have it ~150gb full so far.. FLAC is where its at :)
Shanling M8 or iBasso DX300 are decent alternatives but Sony/Lotoo are the best DAP's out there imo. Sony is rumor'd to have releasing a new one.. 1A/Z upgrade with usbc, only leak pictures so far, no idea of release.
Also consider what cables you are using with the termination but I am sure you know what you are looking for :)

Re: P2P File Sharing
I just read that you want wifi enabled.... you will want an Android OS DAP then. Shanling M8, iBasso DX300, or the Sony 507 is your best bet. The Sony 1A/Z and Lotoo's have their own OS and dont allow for apps, sd card/on premise playing only. The Lotoo OS has wifi but it is used for OS upgrades only. Also heard good things about the FiiO M11, there is certainly a lot to choose from.
Most of the Android DAP's are phone size with the exception of the Sony 507, much smaller by comparison which is what steered me to it. With using it, as I mentioned before, I had it on full volume and wasnt getting enough to power my ZMF or multiple driver IEM, loved it otherwise. In the end, I didnt need the wifi or streaming but still wanted small form factor... Lotoo for me.
Re: P2P File Sharing
Honestly I started checking out torrents just a year ago or so, and the folks at tribalmixes are no shit with all of the latest sasha/digweed and a bunch of other weekly radio sets. That place has been great and is free to sign up.
Re: P2P File Sharing
^ thanks for sharing! great music in that site
Re: P2P File Sharing
NP. The guys there are really good, folks rip S&D sets every week and lots of good livesets always up there.
