Man, there was a mix I first came across on Soundcloud like 10 years ago that was the first time I heard someone mixing synthwave stuff and it was great. I used to have the set on my computer but it appears I've lost it. I've done a bunch of googling and searching around and I can't seem to find or remember the DJ or if the set is still around. I want to listen to it again.

im actually annoyed right now b/c i used to have it and i somehow deleted it. i can't remember the dj either but i know it was a great mix and i want to listen to it again.

One of the few I had on every format- double vinyl, cd, mp3. Physical 2000 (Dmitri & Tom remix) drops like a bomb at the beginning and you better have your dancing shoes on because it's time to get the fuck down. :CandyPop:

^^^^^ Agreed, love the nubreed series. Especially the Danny, Pappa and Satoshi ones. Been hammering the Satoshi Tomiie one a hell of alot lately, and yes it does bring me back. I played the hell out of it when it came out and it still sound so good today, his best mix IMO.

^That was the first GU I ever bought. 8) It was so long ago I had to drive an hour out of town to the bigger city which had a Best Buy so I could find it. That Fortunato & Montresor opener is still amazing and why Digweed is still my #1 fav. Going to go listen to this again now.

Oakenfold's Sydney stop on his Essential Mix World Tour in 1999.

I think this may be one of the first mp3's I ever listened to. So I was in college in 1999 and the first year or so when I was there we finally got non dialup internet in the dorms, and Napster just came out. So I discovered this and the rest is history,

I swear I got a scene rip of this way back when with some sweet ansi are in the .nfo file, but I can't find it anywhere online, so maybe I'm forgetting. But I distinctly remember listening to this set and also his[FONT=courier new] Resident - 2 Years at Cream[/FONT] over 20 years ago and were some of the first things I ever heard on mp3 and realized how awesome they were.

The mix from [FONT=courier new]Delerium - Silence[/FONT] into [FONT=courier new]Slacker - God Damn Noise[/FONT] still slams. Clip below jumping to that mix here:
