Re: Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli 2CD

does he spin mostly techno stuff?

#461353Post 19 of 67

Re: Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli 2CD

i dunno if i'd call it 'techno'. more like big room acid house? but i def consider it more housey then anything.

#461354Post 20 of 67

Re: Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli 2CD

One of the most entertaining, versatile up-and-coming djs around. I have been a fan of Nic for a while now and i have been patiently awaiting this release. I cant wait.
hmm... i havent heard him play at all is his style similar to howells and desyn?
You don't know what you're missing. I'll see if I can dig up one of his sets so you can have a listen. Actually the one with him and Paolo Mojo back to back may still be up on Paolo's site (you have to register). If I had to label it I'd say that 3d_1200 hit the nail on the head - big room acid house.

Re: Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli 2CD

fancuilli & chatterly = skylark = buick project

perhaps you've heard those names tossed around here. they're productions are of equal valor to fancuilli's live sets. buick project tracks especially would give a good taste of what nic brings to the club.

#461394Post 24 of 67

Re: Renaissance Presents Nic Fanciulli 2CD

this double CD looks fantastic!

been rocking coincidance for a while myself. that track is LARGE!

Do you have any additional information on Andy though? I've never really read or seen any information on him. Does he spin as well?

No i don't actually, I've been paying attention to these guys for awhile now, but i've never heard any mention of chatterly playing out anywhere. i figured if he did, he'd have similar notority as nic or they would play together, at least on occasion as skylark or buick project or whatever, i.e deep dish.

he's definitely a guy who you need to see live to gain appreachiation. his sound and vibe are perfect for a club atmosphere he's the epitomy of a club dj right now. playing sleazy fun dirty beats with enough subbass to kill a cow. the only chance i've had to see him live was on a dynacord and it raised my appreachiation that much more. as anxious as i may be to hear this new comp, he doesn't strike me as your typical compilation dj, which is good because im fucking sick of Global Undergrounds ineptness.

he also does a weekly show on radio1, called the resident or something, i've only heard a recording of his first show - if anyone has new ones, please share :)
