I'm off there in April for 2 weeks. I will be in Miami, St Pete Beach, Sanibel, Florida City and Key West. Anyone know any clubs worth checking out? Hoping to catch up with the Orange if he's about. Does anyone know where Funky Dread is based?

thats a few weeks after mwc (jesus do they still have those)/ultra - not sure what there will be available dj wise but its really the perfect time of year to go to outside events- theme parks. not too high chance of rain and low humidity.

I don't think it matters if its MMW or not, plenty of clubs/good djs in Miami. Sanibel Island there are none, I love Sanibel though so relaxing and low key, some nice nature parks and tons of bike paths if you are into riding/walking.

St. Pete Beach I am sure are mostly beach type bars...I would recommend heading to downtown St. Pete from there (only 15 minutes) there are alot of cool shops (Daddy Kool Records), restaurants (on/near beach Drive) and microbrewerys hidden allover, nightlife is pretty vibrant on Fridays and Saturdays there, although not much EDM.... Enjoy Florida!

Just enjoy the beaches doubt you’ll catch a show unless dj three is playing in Tampa it usually dies down after the WMC

Right now, I'm trying to see if I can go to Guy J's set on March 2nd and Sasha's boat party on March 22nd. I do see some tampa/orlando peeps at events every once and awhile.

well it turns out there might be a better place lol.

just found out i'll be traveling for work and will be in San Francisco the week of 4/20. DJ Three will be playing there that Wednesday so I might still be able to catch him play.

Old Zove is living it up in Florida. Finished 3 days in Miami, followed by a day at Cape Canaveral. Now two days in Orlando. But the best is yet to come. I was thinking about doing Lee Burridge at Space on Saturday, only to find Danny Howells, Dave Seaman and Darren Emmerson were playing Heart on the same night. So I could no believe my eyes when out running at 5am I find that the clubs are next door to each other. I'm in Tampa that weekend but I when straight back to my hotel and booked a flight. A gift from the gods.

i still love the music but feel I don’t belong at club nights now due to being older. Do you still enjoy the full night chunky?

I didn’t go to the WMC. I went 2 weeks after. Lee Burridge at Space was phenomenal. I’ve just left Space at midday to catch my flight. 3D were great, but Burridge was something else.

I went and you will find an older crowd, just depends on the events. its springtime in miami so you'll always have the young crowds but thats one thing the ADID parties are known for- laid back atmosphere, killer music and great crowds that are more into that sound which tend to skew older.

and i guarantee you, you wouldve just fit in just fine at the digweed, or the hernan and nick w show as well.

This was my night out in Miami. 3 clubs 4+ brilliant DJ's, some great people met, some amazing music. I didn't want to do the WMC, I wanted to experience real Miami clubbing and I did just that. I could not have wished for a better experience.

They were great. They played the last 7 hours. The great thing with Space is that because it is open from 10pm till 2pm all of the DJs play long sets. Burridge played 4 hours, which is the longest that I have seen him play in a long time. At ADID he normally plays about 2.

I guess 2005 or 2006 i went to Miami for U2 Vertigo Tour concert and ended up @ Space rocking the shit out and Roger Sanchez was playing.. i can recall the first 3 or 4 hours were really fun, it turned out dizzy after that.. :lol:

lol awe- i didnt get to his set earlier that week because ...old man and was tired lol. i did get to catch schpongle the next day, which was interesting to say the least.
