for me personally, it's been a pretty disappointing year on the 4/4 front with a couple of exceptions, guhus, hunter/game and a couple of others that i can't exactly think about right now, some stuff has got me excited first time i've heard it but after further investigation...naaaaaaa... i stopped downloading sets this year though so not exactly up to date on everything

biggest surprise of the year for me was the tale of us album

glad someone agrees with me on the baumel essential mix thing though, he seems to perform much better when he's not got the pressure of standing up to the occasion
