why doesn't someone just email him and ask?
Because he usually doesn't reply to e mails.
He has replied to mine a couple of times...which was pretty cool. But I think if enough people email and ask him something, he'll reply.

peace, steve

I just listened to the whole thing and it gets a bit better later on. But still I'm almost sure it's not diggers. Far below his quality. Am listening to his latest kiss mix and it's totally different. As somebody said here this doesn't even sound like a live set... And don't tell me the person who supplied this is a confirmed source as they defo got mistaken with the date & place. Just watch Hos' video if you don't belive.

#455059Post 140 of 294

just waiting to hear back

#455079Post 141 of 294

Re: John Digweed - Fabric London 12-02-05

So, I hear multiple pops throughout the set...

 1. Done via tables
 2. Vinyl ripped onto CD-R, then mixed using CDJ'S
 3. Vinyl ripped in wav/mp3 format, then mixed using Ableton
 4. Combination of 1,2,3.

I would say it's all option #1...so what headliners out there still use vinyl? It seems Digweed is all about CD-R.

#455080Post 142 of 294

you know johnny douchebag uses records and cd's:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::(:D:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Re: John Digweed - Fabric London 12-02-05

While this is an OK set, and I haven't played it the whole way through, I'll be putting my money on it not being Digweed. It's just not the tracks he plays - past or present. It's not really that dark or twisted, and the set doesn't really lead anywhere. And Digweed's specialty no matter what the track selection is a mix that leads somewhere.

Next, ALL the live sets that get out which are by Digweed contain tracks we've all heard a heap of times from his radio show. I'm struggling to spot many tunes in this mix.

And also we can expect someone to secretly record a gig of Digweed's from Beirut while he's not looking, but would it really happen while he's playing at Fabric?! I can't really see that happening, but I can't really comment on how it all works

Re: John Digweed - Fabric London 12-02-05

Re: John Digweed - Fabric London 12-02-05

digweed or not what matters is that the music is good :D
you know johnny douchebag uses records and cd's:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::(:D:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:
Actually, he doesn't use records anymore. When he played in Germany a couple months back, he showed up with a few CD cases and made the organizers stack the turntables at the front of the booth completely out of use before he started.

Could be vinyl rips, eh?
