Hello, I'm looking for a powerful, yet portable PA system to hook my turns up to when I'm at a party with no pre-existing system. something cheap (say....less than $500) would be ideal. any suggestions?

go cheap, and you'll get just that, cheap sound.

^^^ he speaks the truth. You could probably get some good JBL or Mackie powered monitors from ebay for around that much. Hope you find what you want.
