For those of you who know I am going through troubles I have to tell you that I got the shaft badly on this one.

Men do not stand a chance against a woman in court. I found out that in the state I am in abuse is anything that makes the other person feel uncomfortable. Most of us know that abuse is calling names, yelling, and physical contact but, did you know that if you break anything and I mean anything even it is your partners favorite pen, that is abuse.

I have been removed by the court from the house I have lived in for the last 3 years and can not go back or I will go to jail. I can not call or talk to my ex at all except to inquire about the wellfare of my children or I will go to jail. I can not be within 100 yards of my ex or my children without her permission or I will go to jail. I have to call a designated person and they have to call my ex and then my ex has to call them back and they then have to call me to tell me when I can call her to see about picking up my children for a visit. WTF is that crap.

I have been homeless for the last 5 days and now I will be homeless until I either move back to TX or find a place here.

Men do not have rights as long as the woman words things right in the initial complaint. She even had free state representation and I was there all alone looking like a criminal and feeling like crap.

I do not suggest that any man take on a woman in faminly court without a lawyer. She just uprooted my entire life because she got mad at me. Here is the kicker. We have not had an argument in over 18 months and this one she just went too far. There is no turning back from what she has done.

OK I have released enough emotion that I have held inside for the last 6 days. No one to talk to and it is very lonley at night when you are driving your car around looking for a place to park and spend the night.

I just needed to vent a bit.

cowardly, i'm sorry to hear that and that just gives me even more credibility that girls are evil and deceptive. which is why i will be single for the rest of my ENTIRE LIFE. even though i love em, women are too much effort. good luck to you buddy and i hope things perk up quickly.

Not that I recommend you do any of this, but the way that you and many men in the world are treated in these situations is wrong

I deeply feel for you man. I have had friends go through similar things. This is one of the main reason's why I don't want kids, nor want to live with a women. I don't know how it is in your side of the country, but in Denver, Common Law Marriage (I think thats what its called) takes place after 1 or 2 years. So in Denver, you would have been legally married already and she would have been able to screw you over even more. Of crouse that could have been what happened.

I will never get married without a prenuptual agreement, under any circumstances. Just know that you have probably helped other guys here see the light, and help them try and limit that ungodly power the p~ssy has over us. A-Men Brotha man.

i feel for you man, i too am going thru a divorce and while it isnt as ugly as yours, its still bad. oh and my ex decided to goto law school this past year and guess who became her project.

the entire divorce court system today blows. women do well in court. women with kids rule. all the little things that happen around the divorce are completely illogical and silly.

lawyers are key and remember that the only winners in divorce are the lawyers. prenuptuals help but i still hear bad things about them.

anyways, i wish you the best of luck.

sorry to hear of your bad circumstances. i'd like to mention that you really need to get an attorney. you will lose as badly as possible in family court without one. i agree that you will lose anyway because you are the man, but the attorney may do some damage control.

don't feel alone too because of your situation. i've got friends that had similar incidents like this happen to them.

I know I dont even know you but reading your story was so sad = ( It really is a shame that the court is so unfair... I am sorry that this happened to you .. and I hope you can see your children again soon and find a place to be at rest.. Good Luck

And as for all the comments of women being bitches all the time (especially after the relationship has ended...) I don't think the sex of your (ex-)partner matters. It's the law system that's faulty, cause human beings are human - they will always take advantage of any unfairness that's available to them. Whether they are men or women. I guess it's been the other way round for many years, now, esp. in the states, it is as it is. Don't expect anybody to give in, if they are, by law, over you from the very start. :NotMe:

This is so true. When I was getting a divorce they actually made me hate my ex and he hated me. So we got rid of them and let the divorce be handled by a mediator (which is sort of like a referee) and we were both much happier with each other and the results. Of course I don't recommend this if you're both close to exchanging gunfire but for an amicable divorce it's the only way to go. Women aren't all bad. Good luck to you in any case.
