This set is SO SICK!!!

The scene down in Argentina must be hitting its peak for a DJ to be able to get away with deep druggy tribal madness like this. I don't think an up and comming DJ in the states could get away with music like this anymore - which is a real shame.

I really don't get this comment at all?!?

He's a quality DJ. If he was from the states he'd still get the recognition he deserves. Like it really matters where you're from when it comes to dance music.

I should be more specific.

2-4 years ago when that whole deep tribal sound was big in the states it seemed like everyone was rolling their nuts off and deep music was appreciated. Now it seems like its either tech house or housey prog or electro or some other "funky" sound and there is less patcience for deeper headier music. Which is a shame because that is the sound I love and Martin's set was a breath of fresh air.

Martin has a weekly radio show on Metrodance just like Hernan. If you liked the Kiss100 set, you should definately check out his main room shows because his sets have a constant level of quality.

Well, it seems almost as if the newer techier stuff popular now is even more heady than the dark progressive. I think people, inculding most DJs, are sick of the dark prog sound, and want to move forward. Is electro"moving forward"? I don't know; more like sideways. Anyway, I think the surge of electrohouse right now is attributable to a resistance against the dramatic serious dark progressive sound. Variety is the spice of life.

It won't last forever, this electro sound, but don't expect the days of dark prog to return. The music will be succeeded yet again by something different. Or the scene will just die completely, pushed out of the market by hip hop and indie rock. Who knows?

i am noticing hip hop is stealing the electronic underground sounds everyday, they are starting to use alot of breakbeats, people love dat shit, but not "techno" :roll: :evil:

you can move forward within a sound which is what Martin is doing. His set is dark tribal prog but it is MUCH better than the dark tribal prog of 4 years ago.

He is now at his studio finishing a set for Proton Radio, it'll be released in da firsts weeks of August :shock: (a 2 hours set) :lol:

Someone give me this link and I made it extensive to Martin so I know he will be here reading da posts and by the way some of you folks have very nice words for him, he was astonished and very very happy and those words gave him strenght to continue on this path ( his own words)

Thanxs for the welcome Tom, the fact is that Martin had read the posts but I can tell he's gonna reply them.You got to know that the first feeling that emerged from him after reading yours words people was shame, yeah he felt shame, so that's simply how Martin is everytime he finishes some piece of work he starts saying I could have done this I could have done that (so fuckin' obsessive),almost never feels satisfied is like deep inside of him he knew he could done things better? different?, who knows what's on his sick mind! But one thing is for sure, I'm gonna be in touch and give all the news i've got as soon as I have it.

The only thing I didnt like about the kiss set was the first 30 minutes was all to familar to me. I have heard those songs played on martins earlier metro set, and one other set from him (mn set maybe) and have also heard Hernan play one of the songs on his radio show to...I realize some of the trax were his own..but seems a bit overkill... They were just not fresh sounds to me....NOt saying there not good tracks...just seem like i heard them quite abit already...
