Since MS has hosted Hernans sets there hasnt been much feedback provided...

I was hoping by creating this thread, Hernan fans could give weekly feedback/thoughts on his shows

Personally I think the radio show has been average since MS started hosting them...... But the weeks of June 18th and also June 25th have been exceptionally good...In these sets it seems Hernan has finally gotten back to top form. . There was really only a few trax that I could do without.....I really liked June 18th part 1 the best....it was a mellower set but had the signature smoothhh sound

And one last thing thanks again to ms for providing us with his shows...it is greatly appriciated.

I have to agree with you chuck. Some have been a snoozefest, but lately he's back on top of his game. I'm really enjoying the one from 06-11 and 06-25. Have yet to listen to the one from this past weekend. But this doesn't take away that his live sets I always enjoy. Looking foward to seeing him @ Crobar-NYC on 07/15. And thanks to MN for all the tunes. :D

I guess that just shows that every dj has his/her off nights. I haven't been able to listen to last weeks show yet, but I will. Along with this weeks set.

I would agree that a few his past shows haven't been the greatest, they are still good. But this past weeks sets were spot on (imo). He's always been able to keep me tuned in, even if the set isn't the greatest! He does have some serious talent though! 8)

I like Hernan's mixture of playing tracks from the big Jocks and featuring relatively unkown artists and you can say whatever you like, the tracks he plays on his show are always fresh, fresh, fresh. :) His Metro show from 25.06.2005 was outstanding. 8)

Id agree...probably his best set this past month and a half. The cool thing about Hernan is that even after a couple of average shows he always eventually comes through with a jaw dropper to make up for it...I am going to see him play @ Space in Miami in 1.5 weeks :shock:

hernan is one of the most consistent djs, he was bound to get back in form sooner or later. I'm listenning to his Renaissance CD vol2 now, its very special!

sorry guys an i aint kissin ass here but i think they are all pretty awesome shows, admitidly some shows are better than others but it must be pretty hard churning out class sets week in week out for a radio show where theres no crowd to buzz off. His radio sets have a different feel to them compared to say a set that you'd hear him spin in a club enviroment. But thats what i expect something a little smoother with the odd big club tune in there i like to sit at home and listen to them with some of amsterdams finest export in the herb grinder and just chill to the slower stuff. He can save his big tunes and big mixes for the clubs as far as im concerned were u get the full benefit ON THE DANCE FLOOR. I last saw him live @ shindig newcastle june 11th and he was top drawer better than a few week before @ stealth nottingham. And thanks to the mn bods for hosting these sets GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!

I hope he has saved his good stuff for this saturday at space...Going to make the 4 hr drive solo to check him out.....

This weeks metrodance was not good. I did not like either part 1 or part 2....So far this year is not comparing to last year as far as consistency with his radio show. Seems like only about 1 out of every 3 or 4 shows is real good.....

He has never disappointed me live though...this will be my 3rd time seeing him......

Some are better than others no doubt.

But I always try to be thankful how lucky we are that we basically get a new double disk mix album from our favortie artist EVERY Week. For people who like mainstream music, they are lucky to get a new album once a year.

Couldnt agree with you more....AND MANY MANY THANKS to MS for making this possible :lol: . and only 10 minutes to dl on MS sure as hell beats waiting all day for his sets on Collorio.

I saw him live before 3 weeks and i must say that he plays better in his metrodance radio show than 'Live'! Anybody else realized that?

i deleted the sets once again......i think hernan shows were alot better a year and ahalf ago...there were a couple of pretty good tracks at the end of part 2 set....but i have already heard those on other sets.

at least with digweed he always gets the new upfront shit that nobody has

I have really digged Hernan's shows every week and IMO are better than the kiss shows. I love his sound and its great that he is sticking to what he knows and not jumping on the electro bandwagon. Electro is good but in small doses. Thanks MS for hosting these.

Part 2 of Hernans mix this week is excellent. Some killer breakbeat to start off...Some really nice tracks on part 2

i agree that some of his recent shows, haven't been as good as soem of the one earlier in the year.

I loved pt1 16.07.05 it is mint, contianing that tune that goes "your wrong about me"

when he does the dark and moody stuff u know damn well it would sound amazing in a club .. it's just what lets his sets down every now and then on radio is he's prob trying to reach a wider audience . he should concentrate on pleasing the fans he got

sorry to say but this weeks metro show has go to be one of the worst in recent memory.....i still have some faith he will turn it around....this years metro shows are no were close to the quality of last years....

we never hear hernan's voice on those shows (unless he talks like a girl "Hernan Cattaneo, Live from london")....so u never know, it could well be some random guy spinning electro records.

he's still the best though :D
