I would rather Danny Howells and Dave Seaman were not playing back to back though. The first release of tickets for this were £5, the second were 2 for £20. A real bargain, especially for a legendary club.

seaman b2b danny is a strange combination to me. van M b2b seaman would fit better imho, but maybe thats the point of playing b2b sets - having some crossover 'genre' action and see how it goes.

Don't like the b2b much either, but I don't like many. Saw Henry Saiz and Hernan @ MOS in April ,Dave Seaman opened for them. He and Danny are very different. As are Henry and Hernan , Henry is miles away from the music I loved from him a few years ago. We had Hernan playing these perfect 20 min little mini sets , then what sounded like commercial EDM where every track ends the same from Henry. So sad. :( I just wonder why these B2B seem to be flavour of the month,?? it always ends with the lowest common denominator.
My foray into clubs this time around didn't work that well :lol: Went to see my 2nd favourite Dj , Guy J . I got patted down going into the club :lol: Had someone behind me cover me in booze , didn't stop dancing though. :) He played heaps of his wonderful music , but surprisingly he seemed to be clowning around too much to actually to program his set that well. He seems much more serious about his music here, maybe because he doesn't have an entourage to lead him astray. :)

Danny Howells opened with him and Dave Seaman doing 30 minute stints for 3 hours. They built it up pretty quick, which is understandable as The Box is only open for 6 hours. The first three hours were excellent. Nick Warren did 90 minutes, which was good, but he brought the tempo down a bit. Jimmy Van M closed which was excellent. He never put it up to the level Howells and Seaman did, but he played some wicked tunes. Me and my mates had VIP access. We never went in the VIP lounge once. I only left the dance floor once and that was to get a bottle of water. It was a brilliant night.

Good on you !! Glad you had such a good time!!! I quite like the Box :) How was Nick's mixing?? :) We don't have nights like that here anymore:( Both Sydney and Brisbane have lock out laws and much earlier closing now, it's just not viable for Djs to come here for one city only. I really miss it :(

Most VIP lounges are set away from the main rooms, so you can't hear the music. It always amazes me how many people stay in them all night.

Funnily enough I ran into him on the dance floor, he missed the opportunity to run shoulders with Warren, Seaman and Van M, because he would not leave the dance floor. LOL
Oddly enough I also saw Zover behind the decks in The Box at the beginning of the night. WTF was going on there?
