Found my Sasha airdrawndagger cd back after i don't know how many years. Still great though. Brought back a lot of memories. And brought me back to MS as well.

I'm curious about the progressive music scene of today. Who should I check out? I'm looking for stuff to play at work.

Airdrawndagger is one of a kind album!! its endless... timeless... and very emotional... brings memories every time, i cant stress enough how much i love it!! if i could ever take only one album with me when i travel, its this one :) .... you should definitely check his latest album, Scene Delete !!

"The term "air-drawn dagger" was used in Macbeth to characterize an emotional outburst."

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

For the amount of gigs Sasha missed with the excuse of making his album, it wasn't worth the wait.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

Everyone should listen to this, at least once in life.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

I never got into Airdrawndagger at all. Listened to it 2-3 times at most and then got rid of it. It has a couple of nice melodies but overall not for me. Would be interested to see how well it would have been received if it wasn't Sasha.

Why? It is Sasha..

For me, perception of music it's not exclusively about the sounds, is about everything.. Sounds, artist, memories and everything you can recall on what you are listening. The whole combo.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

^ Yes in my opinion I think it's overrated. Just my opinion though. He's done lots of stuff that is absolutely amazing. ADD wasn't for me that's all.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

One of those albums that got me really excited about the potential that electronic music had, at the time anyway, similar to the first time I heard Northern Exposure, if I may. But few albums have been as impactful since.

another album that came out at about that time that signaled to me a new era in music was holden's balance which was in 2003.

i will say that i have purposefully held off on listening to this album for a rainy day. Whatever that means I have no idea.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

I was about to mention holden's balance album as well :D ...

can't agree more about the impact those albums had and the potential of future releases they deliver back then, is still such a high quality level !!

I've used to buy lots of cd's back then before the Internet days, i still listen to a lot of music and i agree that very few albums have made such an impact till this day.

Ulrich Schnauss did it for me few years later.

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

This was my "day after" play for years :) I'm giving Charlie May a huge credit though :)

Re: Sasha airdrawndagger

It kind of bombed when it came out but I liked it.

Charlie May's biggest achievement to this days is GU Ibiza CD one (wink :D).
