Why do you always put the dates the other way round?
Like September 11th is 9/11 and not 11/9?? I know it's hardly anything major, it's just annoying when trying to work out when something was actually recorded.

I know I was so confused when I first came here...
and now when I go back to Europe I'm confused...
all messed up!
^^^good point, and why do you say already at the end of a sentence (like "stop it already") :?:
Its not a problem for me. I actually sort all my sets the European way because most of them come from other countries. 2004-06-29. Like that.
Its just American's trying to be different, the rest of the world uses the date format above, and we have to be different. Just like with the metric system, both of which, should be changed in this country.
we're some bass ackwards fuxx over here. deal with it.

Yeah, and you guys could learn Imperial and get away from Metric. Lazy bastards!
:TNF:
i don't know why it's like that, but whenever somebody asks for ym birthday on a form they always ask for the mm/dd/yr. I have been following this format since as long as I can remember, it just comes naturally.
Maybe it was done just to be different than the rest of the world. I've gotten used to it now. When I came here as a child I asked myself the same question but I figured America knew best... :D
I've worked with foreign companies for so long that even though I lived in the USA all my life I always write the dates dd/mm/yy.
because americans like to change everything that makes sense.
yes beautiful. 8) :Who: :HolyShit: :LoveYou:

Brilliant statement Chlo?. You get an "A" :D
It's actually because we're by far the richest nation in the world. So you the rest of you should change to accomodate us because you are doing it wrong. :ROFLMAO:
we do it because we can!!!
when are you guys going to get off the metric system!!
get it together
Yeah this has always pissed me off. It's 9/11 not 11/9.
Get off the metric system you commies.
im a perfect example of a typical american--i had no idea the rest of the world did the date diffrently :?

You listen to progressive house. How is that possible? Haven't you ever seen a set tagged the European way.
I'm used to both ways now, but the American way is better and here's why.
2004.17.09 = the european way
2004.09.17 = the American way :salute:
Here are my files the European way
2004.06.11 2004.17.08 2004.19.06 2004.23.01
 Is this supposed to be chronological.
The American way :cue national anthem:
2004.04.26 2004.06.14 2004.06.18 2004.09.21
There now April comes before June again. How good of us.....now lets brag until people can't stand us anymore. Just another reason why we're the best

Yes, but neither of those ways is European or American because neither of those systems put the year first. For chronological ordering YYYY/MM/DD is definitely better, but the European system is more consistent because it works from least significant to most significant in order instead of jumping around like the American system. Lets face it, Americans are not going to start putting dates properly / measuring units properly / driving on the correct side of the road, so we learn to live with you.
btw: I could read your message mylexican. All you have to do is highlight the text!!!

This is the only way to sort sets on your computer. That way they remane sorted by date and by name.
Essential Mix - 2004-06-20 - Craig Richards Kiss100 - 2004-06-20 - Hernan Cattaneo Kiss100 - 2004-06-27 - Steve Gerrard
This is the way I sort all of my sets. Namely radio shows of any kind. :Bingo:
^^^^^Fucking ignorant retard  Shhh you're not supposed to see this. Keep white font hidden messages on the dj
^^^ fucking pussy. Only pussies talk behind people's backs, pussy. :DumbAss:
That's why on all my sets I prefer to spell out the month instead... that way there's no confusion.

Who in europe puts the year first tho? today is 30/06/2004, as in 30th day of the 6th month of the 2004th year, one follows the other quite nicely! :)
Oh and the metric system replaced the imperial one in the Uk, it's a natural progression.. the rest of the world will catch up soon ;)
I don`t know anyone that puts the year first, apart from them lot over the pond. They are a fucked up lot sometimes.

Not one can answer me the same question, is truth the easyest thing is to put day mouth and year, but is like they want to confuse everyone
I am also confused especially when it's like not a big difference 04.03.2004 03.04.2004

iv'e always had problems measuring my beast at 254mm instead of the standard 10 inches. :Naughty: :Naughty:
I have found this confusing, so I always right a date like this:
5 March 2004
or 05Mar04
well, we say June 30th, so it makes SENSE to abbrev. 6/30
If we said the 30th of June usually, you might have a point.
