Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
Horrible.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
RA suggests that dehydration could be the cause (the most common cause of death from mdma-based substances). But one thing is a sloppy organization, another one five dead and five critical.

Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
I have never got the concept of all weekend raving. People take far to many drugs, for far to long without proper recovery. One day one night is the way. You see far too many casualties over the course of a weekend.

Idiocy is a cause as well.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
The whole thing is a major disaster.. Management, disrespect of capacity, therefore it's extremely hot in there, low quality drugs (and straight poison sold as ecstasy or whatever), lack of education, and a whole army of teenagers consuming literally deadly amounts of those low quality drugs like there is no tomorrow.
You cant be surprised of this kind of news.. in fact, i dont understand why dont happen every single big festival here..
Nothing will change thats for sure.

my thoughts exactly. The same with rock concerts.

apart that everything is like a real joke these days, everything organization etc, much more arounds here,
i think those drugs They should not have anything of what they had in original state formula etc
so .......
like food,
It will be a slower death, but the installed "alimentation", if you not awake of wtf is everything these days, I mean most is not food, it's poison, .. we already know how it ends

Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
You should still have easy access to water and the place shouldn't be so overcrowded to the point that people can't breath. The problem would still be there, like an elephant in a room, but 5 kids would still be alive. I mostly blame the organizers' greed.

of course,
I don´t know other places how capacity of the site festivals clubs are handled,
but I say you Buenos Aires should be one of the worst places on the planet for that
They shit in the worst way in everything, and everything is absolutely All

Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
nasty all round
:(

Of course! Let's not blame the fucking idiot kids mowing down excessive drugs or anything, because the "organizers" should provide a safe haven for them to do so.
Full disclaimer- I haven't read the details, but I party, and have partied multi day festivals, and I know my limits. When you decide to go down that road it's on YOU to come out alive, that's the deal.

As crazy as its sound, i do believe promoters should do something like that.. Maybe not a safe heaven but way more than they do.. If you don't care about people safety per se (i can even understand that), at least do it for the business .. 5 deaths and 5 or 6 at the hospital is not good public relations and now they will have to deal with tons of legal issues.
Everything its wrong and a perfect recipe to disaster
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
The kids ARE idiots and they will take anything you throw at them, rat poison, marbles, laxatives. But deaths are a consequence of heavy drug intake in the worst possible scenario. Or there would be dozens of dead kids every festival season. If you take any mdma/ecstasy -even if the 70% of it is dirt and worm's shit, you must drink water and be able to breath.
Anyway, moving Time Warp to BA: epic win. I'm glad they thoroughly planned it the way they did.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
Kids never learn.

I definitely think organisers should have a duty of care. We are trying to get pill testing at events here.
Of course the best way to deal with it would be to legalise at least some drugs, but definitely MDMA . It has been proven , prior to being classified as a class A drug, to be a lot safer than alcohol. I very much doubt this will happen of course.

A global problem .....
RA News: fabric closed this weekend following recent deaths
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
^That would be a tough break.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
London clubs are really taking a bartering, Fabric is on its last legs and Studio 338 got burnt down this week.

It seems to... Does anyone supposed why?
-
It was always like this but now we know..
-
Drugs are more garbage than ever and end up killing people like flies..
-
Lack of education on drug abuse..
-
Kids now are totally out of control..
-
Promoter´s greed..
-
All of them combined and others?
Sad no matter which ones.. :what
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
Think about how many clubs/bars would look bad if authorities traced back where drunk drivers had been drinking, yet a pill is sooo much worse, gotta close the place.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
^ drugs are ilegal, that´s the point
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
But it's not the clubs selling them.

I'm with Doug Stanhope on this one.

Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
yeah me too..
Thats why reason 1 and 2 are before reason number 4. Specially 2.
But it's not the clubs selling them.
Wouldnt be so sure about that... At least in Argentina.
Re: Five Die at Time Warp Buenos Aires
^ drugs are ilegal, that´s the point
Yes, and my point is that something legal that the club sells themselves causes more deaths than the drugs.

Im not saying ban booze, but clubs dont get shut down because someone drunk got killed, only when drugs are involved. Who cares about the legality if they both kill right? Just the way I look at it
Im not saying ban booze, but clubs dont get shut down because someone drunk got killed, only when drugs are involved. Who cares about the legality if they both kill right? Just the way I look at it
Actually clubs DO get shut down here, in fact whole entertainment precincts get lockdown laws, which means a lot of them are effectively shut down. 2 people have been killed in "once punch " attacks in Sydney. And neither of them was in a club and it was before midnight.

Probably not. Normally if someone that is drunk gets killed, it's due to acts of violence rather than the alcohol its self. If 4 people dropped dead in Fabric due to alcohol poisoning their licence would also be under review.
Studio 338 had their licence reviewed following a knife attack at their club, as have many others.
