I don't see the point, to be honest. The Cd market is on it's back. There are no successful weekly club nights. And loads of big one off events.

they came back already in 2011, starting with another Seaman Mix. i thought it was Oakes who brought it back that year. ?!

however, i still buy CDs and will probably purchase this one, even if i am no big fan of art department :lol:

Naysayers can say what they like. I love owing a CD, I've said it a million times before, there is nothing like having a personalised note from the artist and all the goodies that come with it. CD's will eventually make a comeback like vinyl did.

If I were you ... I'd be buying out originals and leaving them in their shrink wrap :lol:

Its meaning is beyond the physical release of CDs. The last comeback, before the bankrupt, was definitely positive. Boratto's The Mix Collection was good and MANDY's, in my opinion, a masterpiece.

That is from 2011 the last time renaissance came back for there 20th year. Don't know whats happening now, maybe its just Geoff now??

Think next year is to mark there 25th anniversary .

That was a bitter return, I think it was MOS that pulled the final plug. 2 years ago, for the 20th anniversary of The Mix Collection 1, he wrote a very bitter Facebook post, blaming Ministry Of Sound. In 2011 he also mentioned a few djs who had refused to help Ren by renouncing to pending royalties (no names, though). I don't know who his financiers are. And the market for physical supports is not in the best of shapes.

Personally, I'll support Renaissance anyway as I support Digweed's Live In CDs, even though I just open them to rip them to digital.
