This week we are happy to provide you with some really exclusive material. Many thanks to both Michael Lanning and Tom Sawyer for making exclusive mixes for us and I am sure you will love their sets.
As requested from some of our members, we also host the June set from Alican and Soner which aired on our radio this month. I listen to a lot of Music but this set is surely one of those mixes that got under my skin. Those who say that there are no good progressive tracks out there anymore should listen to this set as you might hear a few tunes which may change your mind. Do not miss this one, folks.
Special thanks to micsander from our board who hooked me up with a mix done live and in one shot from the excellent German Producer Oliver Moldan. If this name does not ring a bell for you, his Producer Alias Prawler will for sure as his recent track Disco Shit has been played in a lot of sets lately and his Productions also received a lot of international attention in the past already. There are hardly any mixes out there from Oliver so we are proud that he agreed to have a mix hosted on our site.

Fifteen years of drive and ambition has led to the deep, insightful sounds that Michael Lanning is creating today. In his early teens he was influenced by John Lennon and the Beatles, inspired by their courage to create experimental music that impacted the entire world.
After buying his first guitar at an early age of 15, Michael?s education, livelihood, and experience have been focused in the music industry. In 1995, Michael worked for ArCon Studios in Colorado Springs and began learning the ins and outs of the recording studio. The introduction to electronic dance music began in April 1999, with a new love of the sounds coming from Sasha, John Digweed, Chicane, and the Platipus Sound System. By October of 2000, Michael was pursuing these productions full force and saw his first release, ?The Birth of Trinity? released on Wysh Recordings based out of Boulder, Colorado.
A special musical partnership with Chris Conner developed in late 2001, and the two birthed the initial concept of the Sentient Audio Collective as well as the production duo, Brahma. Since then, Michael has released several tracks, both solo and with Brahma on labels such as Toes in the Sand Recordings, Babylon Records, and Sentient Audio Collective?s own digital label. He has also seen his work on compilations such as Balance 006 mixed by Anthony Pappa, and the "FLAVOURS" CD by DJ Leoni & Andrew K.
2005 has taken Michael?s career to new levels fulfilling his role as co-owner/label manager of the Sentient Audio Collective?s digital label, as well as releasing several new productions? a new solo original on Toes in the Sand called ?Tantric Progression?, remix projects of Alican & Soner?s ?Manna? and Darioef?s ?Near U?, collaboration projects ?We Awoke? and ?Submerged?, and a new original Brahma track forthcoming entitled ?Bringing the Dawn?. If all this isn?t quite enough to fill his plate, Michael has also taken on an artist album project that will be a full length musical journey of all new original material.

His passion for music began in the early 80s. During his high-school years, At age 15 he start runing his own mobile disco. This experience opened up other door for him, like his first radio show in which he began learning the radio dj profession.
As he continues his studies, he takes the decision to take the electronic music road in 1996, After obtaining a title in accounting and business administration, he realizes that he has to take the next step in his career, which is to make nightlife his business and begins promoting electronic music parties, being the first Panamanian promoter to organize a party with an international dj in the country.
After the 90s, his career continues escalating in radio as well as in clubs, earning such recognitions as best radio dj and best promoter on the CICLON ELECTRONIC AWARDS.
He also opens the first club with 100% electronic music, called deep room, considered an icon in the Panamanian electronica, Tom Sawyer also owns the clubnight level club, which presents famous international artists and djs in Panamanian clubs.
Tom Sawyer has had the fortune of sharing turntables in Panama and other countrys with djs such as chris fortier, mauro picotto, humate, john johnson, tiesto, paul van dyk, oliver klein, satoshi tomiie, sandra collins, who da funk, mark pappas, pqm, moshic, kay cee, sasha, steve porter, randall jones, alanna davis, martin accorsi, saeed and palash, eddie amador, oscar g, dj tandu, fragma, marc et claude, azzido da bass, paul mendez, safri duo live act, michael parsberg, scot project, ivano bellini, rod carrillo, dave ralph, john creamer, christopher lawrence, richard f, luis diaz, gabriel sordo, austin leeds, graham fee, marcelo castelli, Gustavo Cerati, Roken, La Ley, Moenia, Willy San Juan, Pig & Dan, luke fair, tom stephan and many more. In 2003, Tom Sawyer decides to improve his personal studio, since he started working in production in 1994. In a short time producing, he?s already signed 24 tracks with great labels Owner of his own mobile disco in the early 90s, owner of his own club and clubnight, recipient of an award of best dj and best promoter in his country, pioneer, and one of the first producers in latinamerica to sign a record deal, undoubtly everything connects, and the result is a great love and passion for music... good music.
Tom Sawyers future plans in short term, create first panamenian label called SOUTH RECORDS where producers from central and south America will have the opportunity to expose their talents.
