life changing comp....purchasing both cd & vinyl editions plus the extra tracks. It took me almost a year to complete, and then spent endless hours in my basement trying to mix some of them....total failure:-)

Drum Club/Guerilla/Hardkiss were easy to find....the real pain in the ass was tracks like Satellite Serenade/Dope on Plastic.

The Orb remix has always been pricey, it's on white or blue vinyl, I don't remember. The ambient mix of I Am Free is expensive too.

Those (legendary) tables are in Northern Exposure II too, in the original 2CD Uk versions.

Ahhh...I picked this dual disc version at my college's local cd shop. I picked this and a ton of the other NE series from that joint and commented on here back in the day.

Time moves fast, and the NE series is some of the best stuff.

I really, really regret not picking this up when it first came out - but then again, the scene here in Toronto was dominated by the locals when it did. I remember it covering an entire wall section at HMV in the basement (where they sold all the electronic/ubran/hip hop/reggae) - but was unaware what the big deal was.

Managed to pick it up used after I got on board with Expeditions (which is still my favorite in the series), and I still love to listen to it.

Expeditions is good, CD1 is a classic. NE2 is NOT as great as NE1, but it gets really close.
