C'mon guys and gals. We have 312 downloads of the sets offered this week and only 9 replies/comments about the sets. What gives? I know that we're all pressed for time these days, but just posting a few simple words after you listen would be greatly appreciated by not only everyone here, but the artists who were so generous in allowing us to host their mixes.

Not trying to complain, but it's always nice to hear some feedback.

what the hell sets are you talking about. The kiss sets or the hernan boring sets. The kiss sets this week are great. Both sets are really good. I thought there where some comments about them arleady. But your right ska, it is usually the same people commenting about the sets. Everyone else needs to get involved and at least say something about the sets. I mean the staff take time out of there personal lifes to provide you with great sets each week. At least everyoe can comment something about them.

Re: Disappointment

The Kiss sets this week were awesome. That Fransico Farfa track from Digweed's hour is superb, makes the whole set for me. Max Graham's mix starts off kinda slow but the last half hour/45 minutes is outstanding, this is probably one the year's best guest mixes IMO.

As far as the specials go, I thought Vicker's set was top shelf - great mixing, great tracks, great energy throughout. I've had this one playing pretty steadily at work, definitely my favorite out of the bunch.

Derek Howell - well I really can't make a very objective review of his set, just about every mix of his I've heard is right up my alley. His next set could be 2 hours of a monkey fucking a football and I'd still probably put it on repeat.

The two Villo sets were hit and miss. The first one didn't do much for me, the second kept me interested. Might have to give it a few more listens but like I said that Vickers set has been rocking my iPod all week, throw in Desyn's piece from friskyRadio and there hasn't been a whole lot of time for much else.

As always, thanks to the entire [mn] crew for providing some great music.

You already have the ability to download. What are you talking about?

Re: Disappointment

I haven't downloaded much in a long time. I wasn't digging the tunes that are out. I'll hopefully start liking EDM again, especially after Diggers' last set.

#439765Post 13 of 28

I haven't downloaded a Digweed set in 6 months. :not me:

#439767Post 14 of 28

Mind you that this is less about Digweed and Hernan. It's more about the guests that we feature each and every week. I think we owe it to them to give them some feedback and support.

Gotcha. I agree with you...

I'll start downloading.

Thanks hypo, I really appreciate that. Please understand that this thread was aimed at those people that make up a part of the over 300 downloads already this week. I'm not trying to "force" anyone to download, but just trying to entice those that do to provide a little feedback each week.

Re: Disappointment

yes, providing me with feedback is essential, and appreciated.... Thank you everybody for the feedback as always

Where is the feedback to be posted?

I have not downloaded many sets recently, and the ones i have haven;t really floated my boat. However i do appreciate the hard work the MODs and Admins do.

#439998Post 23 of 28

Re: Disappointment

It's easy to download the stuff while sitting here at work............

A lot harder to listen to the backlog and provide timely meaningful feedback..........................

I assume most are like me...they download something that floats their boat (Derek Howell...perfect example...I,ve got three sets now and haven't listened to all of one yet!!!!!!!!!!!)

I can't remember the last set (commercially bought or freely downloaded) I listened to more than once.......

I still have more than 5 or 6 I've never listened to and countless downloads I've started to listen to but didn't get all the way through (that work thing keeps interfering...............)Then there's CD's I've bought....

So much to listen to, we're spoiled and the point of your post is well taken....got to do better!!!!!!!!!!!

#440001Post 24 of 28

So why download if you don't have the time to listen? You're just hogging bandwidth then.

Re: Disappointment

The Derek Howell mix is top notch ... to these ears easily the best up and coming DJ/Producer out there at the moment. That Kiss100 mix still gets a regular play.

That track that kicks in at 16-mins is amazing.

#440145Post 27 of 28

Re: Disappointment

Must be summertime on [ms]. I Just downloaded the Derek Howell Monkey Football set but I'm not going to sit and listen to it at the computer, i'll pop it on my Rio and listen to it in the sun tomorrow. Then I guess I might post about it in a thread somewhere demanding a tracklisting when I come back  .

That's my theory anyway. I've always valued the opinions of quite a few people on here since I have a bandwidth cap but I still want to hear sets from artists I've not really heard before. I'd rather have a small thread about why sets are good/bad than 300 people going "thx the links" then hopefully i can add to the discussion later.
