TBH I don't see the differance between megauplad and Sony who gave us the ability to copy CD's. Times have changed, these days people don't want to pay for music. People don't have record collections anymore, they have spotify. We will never have that experience of buying an album and growing to love it. Putting it on for the first time and loving parts of it, then playing it again and again and agai, untill it all came together. Northern Exposure, GU13 and Yoshiesque 2 all gave me that experience, but I doubt I will ever have that again. These days, you play it then move on to the next one.

^^^ I still do that with with CDs but I worry that is on limited time as well. It's sad that so many young people will only ever know mp3 .

Some of my fondest memories were when my record store used to put away obscure records that he thought I might love. He was usually right. :)

I wish they would throw the book at the those others as well.

Definitely agree he's being turned out because he was a high flyer and not afraid to flaunt his wealth, which likely pissed off a few peeps that he benefited from. The article a few years back about him in WIRED gave a pretty interesting profile of him and some of the rather odd overreach from the U.S. had when first trying to persecute him.

No way he\s going to get a fair trial. He's going to get the book thrown at him and take a fall for companies that couldn't/wouldn't change their business model with the times, and are looking at anyone and everyone they can to sue for their lack of adaptation.
