Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
Stern rules imo.
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
well apart from the odd rare Essential Mix once in a while, Radio 1 generally sucks balls.

Yeah it does.

Agree, But what can you do. It is definetly not worth subscribing to just for a good mix every once in a while. I am there will be people that do though.
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
What is happening with HD radio?
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
Why would anyone need anything other than MS&EB :?:
I guess Radio 1 is a bit sucky, two decent essential mixes a year, and a couple of Annie Nightingale guest mixes aren't really susbscription material. And I'm not sure a Moyles breakfast show would really appeal to an American audience.
Stern rules imo.
HAte to disagree with you Jenks. I think Howard has not been the same for years. He peaked when Billy West was on the show. After he left it was all downhill from there. I still have Butt Bongo Fiesta though and Crucified by the FCC now that goes way back 1-800 52-Stern
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
Why would anyone need anything other than MS&EB :?:
Agreed. Seriously, I download the weekly guest mix and once every 2-3 weeks I'll go throuhg member recommendations & promos... and I STILL have 7gb of music to go through. It's been a constant flow of music for years. I seriously haven't listened to a CD in my car more than once in over a year
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
Ironic, I had e-mailed this request to XM Radio a while back.
I'm sure this thing was in the works for some time. That sucks. I wonder if XM will lose the weekly Essential Mix or if Sirius gets exclusive rights.
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
haven't listened to the howard's show in years... jackie still not there?
Well i'm glad you have to pay for it.
BBC America is bad enough, but my TV Licsense fee being used to supply you fuckers with free music would make me MAD!
Anyhow Target audience is 18-26, guess i'll be listening to Radio 2 soon!
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.

howard is funny.. my room amte got sirius just because of him. he get boring sometimes, but fuuny for the most part
Re: BBC Radio 1 to air in U.S.
I will be jumping on the bandwagon now. I was thinking about it before but I am definitely in. The fact that I can hear the essential selection or a decent mix on the radio is awesome.
Can't wait!!!
Great steal for Sirrus..
