Well, I think he did have a bit of an advantage of having his years with N.W.A., having discovered Eminem and him being the guy that hung with Tupac for an album that he helped produce [I]might[/I] have helped with the street cred that helped sell those Beats so well.

Not too many white boys can compete with that in your corner.

lol you 100% took this thread the wrong way. i dont think florida was in any way shape or form putting down Dre and all of his accomplishments. he is only pointing out that the headphones are cheap, which we all knew anyway (plastic).

plus, in the original article (if you even bothered to read it) the author does say it has to do with Dre's accomplishments that the Beats brand is doing so well, which you are reiterating here. :)

Gotta bit defensive there - just used to the slagging off on Dre for using cheap parts and overcharging outrageously for it.

I've never listened to any high end Grado but for me my Phonon Smb-02 are kings. Best closed back headphones I've ever listened to.
