Re: The Wine Megathread
That Malbec looks good Micko. I recently picked this one up out of the blue and really enjoyed it. Went very well with spicy Vegeterian Indian dinner.

That cost me EUR 12.00 in a local wine shop or approx $13.00
We get hit with sneaky taxes/excises
It is classed as a budget malbec and I must admit it ain't bad, ain't bad at all.
You must have some truly wonderful wines over there ;)
Re: The Wine Megathread

Comparing prices vs quality you can be absolutely sure about that...
With 15 dollars you can get a top notch Malbec ...Easily the same quality costs 35-40 dollars in the US ..

"The Union des Enologists de France (French Winemaker’s Association) has awarded the “Trophee Vinalies Internationale” for “Best Dry Red” to an Argentine wine for the first time – Bodega Valentin Bianchi’s Famiglia Bianchi Malbec 2012. The wine, from one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Argentina, had the highest score of over 3,500 wines tasted from 41 countries. The blind tastings were conducted by 150 members of an international judging panel. The wine comes from the San Rafael “sub-region” in the southern part of Argentina’s Mendoza wine region. Ridiculous price here in Argentina.. Less than $10 us dollars.
Re: The Wine Megathread
Anyone ever had a good blueberry wine - or is that sacrilege? They had it at Fresh Market, no sulfates, actually I liked it. Tastes like wine just not from a grape.
Re: The Wine Megathread
Anyone here had wine from Maynard's Arizona based vineyard (from Tool)?

I have, it's a very well made expression of the terroir. Great doc too.
Re: The Wine Megathread
That's what I've been told, I love a good full bodied red, will have to get a couple bottles. Thx!
