I don't know what you mean by "what I've heard", in terms of hearing reviews from other people or you hearing them for yourselves. And of course people are gonna argue if they believe otherwise. People are just trying to make their points. Just like if you say whoever is good dj and somebody says they suck. You would try to convince them otherwise. Just like you said, "not everyone is gonna agree". Thats the beauty of the messageboard. :)
I've seen them about 5 or 6 times last time for the new year and have to say they're going down in my book. They were great when Moskow came out but now
Moscow is one of the top sets in the GU series IMO
One of the most overrated dj duo over. They were never that good. Why people like them so much I will never understand.
...and when/if you do understand, then you'll know that they aren't one of the most overrated duo's, but probably one of the best acts out there.

So blunt and right to the point. But so true. Who cares.

Re: Deep Dish split

Deep Dish like all DJs have their moments. The music is always progressing with new stuff.

In terms of mix quality, etc. I've only heard DD once live, and it was a blast.

As for their other endeavors, they remix some really good music. They've made some of the poppier sounds listenable after they remix. I'm glad they have the talent to do that to other peoples music.

Their Global Underground mixes have been spot on fantastic.

I'll like DD for who/what they are, another good line-up in the progressive/house stable of DJs.

Re: Deep Dish split

Deep Dish -- some pretty good tracks ruined by the worst vocals I've ever heard!!!!! --they should team up with Paul Johnson and get a chalkboard rigged with a mic to scratch their nails down during their sets. -As crazy as it sounds, I still respect them though. They've contributed immensely to the U.S. scene and continue to do so, whether I'm into what they do or not.

Re: Deep Dish split

seeing as how they are on this week's essential mix on the BBC , it would appear they are alive and well.
