Got there at 10.30, made it to the front (mosh pit) after being asked if I wanted ......Coke, Pills, Speed, or even a lady!

They come on and opened their set with Hey boy, Hey girl. Good long intro before the bass kicked in. Ive never seen some many speakers in my life, I have the ear damage to prove it.

They played Believe, Out of Control, etc. Atmosphere was wicked (better than Fabric last week) Then they stopped everything, and the Magic Numbers appeared on stage (they looked like rabbits in the headlights) - they looked so shocked as they are an indie band and all they could see was ravers! They sung Close you eyes, which was cool.

The thing that made it for me was, the fact that The Chems spent abit of money on the sound and lights/lazors. (back to the old skool)

It began in AFRICA K K K ! 8)

Re: Chemical Brothers Live

I saw them one time live in Berlin and they rocked. And as they are just 2 guys behind their machines on stage, they better invest some money in good visuals. :) I think the Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk and Underworld are the best EDM acts that provide your senses with spectacular visuals I have seen so far.

Re: Chemical Brothers Live

Saw them last year at pukkelpop festival I was hypnotised for about 90 minutes I guess. Amazing performance and breathtaking visuals! Especially the clown's face stuck with me, it was.....haunting.... :P

Not sure which mix of Galvanize it is some of the djs are playing now, it's not the original, but whatever it is, it's a jam.

Re: Chemical Brothers Live

Yeah, agreed. I didn't buy any of the remixes. I think the only record i have of theirs i've ever played is Electronic Battle Weapon 7 or something.

Re: Chemical Brothers Live

having seen chems live so many times, i'd have to say that i'm getting sick of them trying to cram all their "hits" into a 90 minute set.

it's like the one minute it's "out of control" then the next minute it's "temptation" then the next minute it's "star guitar".

has anyone else experienced this?
