yeah, I'm kind of annoyed someone at that club went against my wishes and recorded the set as this event was one day after I finished the mix (these things have such a big lead time). So that's why a lot of the same tracks appear. I just hope people aren't bored of the mix before it's even out! At least this set is getting a positive response :) so it's a good testing ground!

it's understandable that an artist would wanna keep the element of surprise when releasing a mix CD, but with you, James, it doesn't really matter! even if every track on it was from a previous set of yours, and even if the tracks were mixed in the same order i would still go out and get a copy, just to hear another version of the mix, and, of course, to support your work.

oh, and after "The Utilities" is out on June 25th, do you think you could maybe throw that New Year's set with Phil K at us, that Grant recorded? that would be really sweet and i doubt it would hurt the sales in any way. keep doin what you doing, you animal, you!

Unfortunatley this recording was pretty badly distorted and only in one channel!! :(

I'll be doing some promo mixes to go with the Utilities CDs.... so I'll sort you guys out with them once they're done :)

Just got back from JZ's set in Zouk, Singapore. The night was awsome and he handed out promo copies of the Utilities album. Been listening to the promo cd and the album is definately worth the wait.

I've ask the man himself whether the promo mixes that he mentioned was ready and he said not yet.

I would hook anyone up with the promo copy of Utilities if JZ himself is okay with it. :D
