A new track "Go" w/ Q-Tip drops on May 4th
Liking the new track, but I kind of wish there'd be a resurgeance of the Big Beat sound that I always loved.

yep, that track was so amateurish, although the rest of Push The Button was terrific, especially Surface to Air
their last album was quite mediocre, expected a far better production but we'll see what's coming this time
here's the 1st track from the new LP, don't like the vocals really that much :Honest:

Re: Forthcoming albums thread
I think you guys are missing the "point" of Galvanize - it's a throwback to old school hip hop. They've always had an element of hip hop influence and have done some really solid tracks with some very talented MC's - The Salmon Dance, Get Yourself High, Not Another Drugstore, Electrobank (which sampled Keith Murray) and Galvanize all showcase their production skills. They started out being influenced by Hip Hop in general.
I've said this before, I'll say it again - I'd really like to see them do a hip hop themed album with various MC's taking their turn at the mic - I'm positive they'd have no problem corralling some serious talent and put out something incredible that would straddle both the Electronic and Hip Hop genres.
Re: Forthcoming albums thread
^ there's nothing bad about old hiphop, and chemicals using it, the thing about galvanize is that it's not a very good track, i mean there are good tracks and bad tracks in every genre
all those other tracks you mentioned are much much better, especially electrobank, which in terms of sheer production is way far ahead of its time (96-97?)
I like hip hop themed albums, my favourites would be Shadow's "Private Press" and Evil Nine's "You can be special too", and I wouldn't mind a Chemical Bros' hip hop album at all

Re: Forthcoming albums thread
Not Gondry's finest moment. The track is ok.
Re: Forthcoming albums thread
The track had some decent moments I thought, but the first chorus was a nightmare.
