I got to thinking last night about how long I have been going to electronica nights and approx. how many DJs i have seen. Im still coutning. How many have you seen?

Too many to count. I used to go clubbing and to rave all the time when I was younger. Know I hardly go out at all. :cry: I miss going out every week but know instead of going out I spend my money on dj equip. So I guess it all works out in the end then.

I'd say I've seen at least 300. I quit counting raves a few years ago when I hit 30... and that doesn't include clubs. Assuming each rave had 5 DJs, and 3 per club once a month for the past two years. seems accurate enough for me :not me:

edit: oh. Bump that to at least 350. forgot Miami :oops:

What percent of those DJs were actually worth a shit?

i would say i have seen 300 to 400 and about 25% were actually worth seeing

Just about ALL maintstream DJ's so a few hundred. In all maybe 15% of them are real talent. All it takes is a trip to WMC or WEMF get your dose. Now you can save your days for those exlcusive nights at the pub when the real DJ's come out to play for 100-200 people.

Jesus! Ive been clubbing since 1986 so the number would probably be huge. Like Balance says Ive probably seen most mainstream djs and a shit load of not so famous.. then theres the warm up guys. I couldn`t put a number on it even if I tried.

I have been clubbing since 94, so I have seen them all!!

As far as DJ's "worth going to see".... Probably about 15%, and alot of times, it was a DJ who I just randomly saw- like an opener, or a special guest... Examples.......

When I went to see Diggers the last time he played around us, Desyn Masiello opened for him. I had heard some of Desyn's stuff, but in NO WAY POSSIBLE was I prepared to get BLOWN AWAY by this guy.

Or about 4 years when I had not even heard of Tim Skinner, I saw him play in Mass., and he was incredible.

I really can't tell this. :? When I was 17 (1985 :oops: ) I started to go to a local disco three times per week. You didn't call them clubs in the late 80ties. Disco, baby. :lol: Starting with New Wave/Industrial sounds and jumping on the Techno wagon in 1994..going at least 2 times per week in clubs from 17 till the age of 25 or 26, going to open air festivals every year since the late 80ties where many DJ`s play, I really can't tell how many DJ's I have seen. I have yet to hear some of my favourites though and I am still hungry to go out. Three days left to see Digweed for the fucking first time btw and I finally have one DJ less on my still to see list. :RightOn:

the good thing about me is that ive seen most of the Djs i ever wanted to... i even have some pictures of me with them :)

about 150-200 in total but within that is a group of about 7 dj`s that i frequently see

Seen about 4 maybe 5 each week for the past 5 years will about 300 and still counting :)
