Re: Groovetech Records

Groovetech had the best samples eVER!

2 minutes of each cut of the record.

Re: Groovetech Records

the stream only sucked when i had lots of stuff running. or when i'd try to rip a broadcast. other than that it was awesomely tubular!

Re: Groovetech Records

Re: Groovetech Records

Indeed. Liked the websites format very much. Samples of both sides of discs, picture of it...One of the fist sites that I really really liked.

Juno has taken over. Well, Juno has always been a good site, but now with the recent update, it's even better and kinda similar to how GT used to be.

Re: Groovetech Records

I thought life was gonna end when Groovetech went down and I lost my giant wishlist. Not to mention they had a very nice archive of sets that we will never see again.

Re: Groovetech Records

the reason the samples were so good on groovetech was the sound quality. sounded a 100x better than the next best site.

Re: Groovetech Records

Loved Zabiela's Excession show. Used to tune in every month...

Re: Groovetech Records

On the sjbject of the archives sets, I have all of craig richards, jz, paolo mojo, paul louth and rennie pilgrem and the wmc 99 sets. Is there more than the 3 JZ set from 03 or am I missing a few from later in the year? All in all I have about 66 sets total atm and I am looking for anymore, especially form later in the 03 year.

Re: Groovetech Records

oh man, I used to love to listen to Zabiela's show, and to Alex Paterson from the Orb too. And the fisting.

Re: Groovetech Records

I only wish that I could have recorded the video with the audio, JZ was a crazy mo-fo in that booth, the man put a godzilla on one of the tables and turned it on, godzilla started screaming while doing 360's. He brought in card board cut outs of star wars figures too. I was always comedy watching his shows.

Re: Groovetech Records

hobbes2oo: could you drop me a mail fella (paulat4fourdotorg), I wouldn't mind getting hold of some of those archives (not to hear my voice though  ). I think I only have a single recording of my groovetech shows.

Happy days

It really sucked when groovetech's archive site when down. There were so many good sets on there. Now they are gone forever.

Re: Groovetech Records

I like the sound samples that release records has. Good long samples and you can choose between the a side or b side of the record.

Re: Groovetech Records

My first record was bought in Groovetech. The next 200 too... Was a really great store and the international shipping prices were excellent. Juno is not as good as GT and their shipping prices are way higher than those in GT. By that time I had to reduce a lot my monthly vinyls purchase.

Yeah, let me refrase it cause I don't want to be unfair:

Juno's shopping cart system was not as good as GT's 8)
