Weekend vacations (in the US)
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
Miami, FL
There always good deals during the summer. Just avoid major holidays.
Also, since your in Boston, I would hit up Canada, either Montreal or Toronto. Plus, the exchange works slightly to your advantage. :D
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
i was gonna say miami too. nic fanciulli started a bi-monthly residency this year so your chances of seeing him together with sander are pretty good. check www.clubspace.com for more info on what dates he's playing.
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
Dennis Rodgers Bday party w. Alphahouse, St. Louis. 3rd Saturday in July. I'm playing a day party in some park with like 3 stages or something. Entire weekend is going to be a mess.
Other than that, i love chicago on the right weekend.
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)

Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
Kansas City
rumor has it you'd have a free guest room to stay in and all the drinks you want at the bars
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
come to the outer banks of NC (if you like the beach) some beautiful unspoilt beaches, good hospitality, not too built up, and you can def find a bargain if you searh....i live in corolla in the north end of the island, it's beautiful and more remote here, and pretty close if you fly into norfolk, altho no hotels here...check out kitty hawk/nags head which is a lil further south...if you get a bunch of heads together, just rent a house for the week and do it up 8)
my fav place in the states :D
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
^ that does sound relaxing yet fun. any good websites you recommend for the area :)
pickle- My bf wont like the idea of staying in some strangrs house...me on the other hand fine ;)
I forget who said San Fransisco...i will be there in June, i agree BEST place :)
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
OBX is great in August, and as long as you get hit by a hurrican September is even better because all the rental prices drop like a rock after labor day. I prefer Hatteras Island where it is much more rural than Nags Head/Kitty Hawk, it just takes an extra hour to get there.
I'm doing a week on the beach in Montauk next week and will try to get down to the OBX in the fall if I have time/money (yeah right :| )
Re: Weekend vacations (in the US)
I recommend Big Sur/Monterey/Pebble Beach area just below San Francisco....That has to be by far one of my most fav spots in the world. It's so nice and relaxing, espescially when it's overcast....and you can stop by Hearst's Castle as well and prob go through the Salinas Valley and try your hand at some fresh veggies n fruits n wine.
