When did it become the norm to take nude pictures with your phones?

I asked my friend today if this is a generation gap. It looks like I missed out on a boat or trend or phenomenon.

Or is this a celebrity thing?

It's all scam imo. Good way to stay in the news. I mean, if I am Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Rihanna... would I really store nude pics of myself on my phone or on iCloud - if I did not want them to get public anyway??? I doubt it. Besides, is anyone out there who has not seen Rihanna (and others that are now 'oh so upset') naked? Just check their facebook, instagram etc... :You thin:

To get back to your question. I think it's not all a celebrity thing. Check instagram for example. (Especially teenage) girls and boys are posting loads of (semi-)nude pics there. I doubt you wanna see that as a parent. It's obvious though that they are copying what they see on their idols pages. I am feeling like an old cunt but I think this whole "look how good I look nude" pic phenomenon is weird.

To answer your question Feather, the practice of intimacy with others for young/teen people has evolved into nude cell phone pictures being sent to whomever a person desires a closer/intimate relationship. In today's world, if you aren't willingly participating in this activity, your prospective partner can simply "get" pics elsewhere for their intended purpose or be lured away from being on your radar at all if you don't provide pictures. It's just a form of intimacy through technology, which has been used as such since the invention of telephones, cameras, etc.; nothing new, nothing weird really.

Finding a spot of vulnerability in the 'my iphone app' and hacking into people's phones to get pictures to publicly display against the owner's will is a crime against one's privacy, celebrity or not. I tell my teens not to ever send a picture thru their phones they wouldn't want the whole world seeing. But, I understand why they probably don't heed my advice.

Coining this incident using a cute catch phrase is a significant issue/problem I think.

The honest truth about the notion that the Jennifer Lawrence photos might have been released on purpose is pretty highly unlikely due to the fact that she has an oddly shaped body. Her torso is kind of too long, her legs are too short and they are shaped funny.

Now, having said that, before I get attacked by the 2 female members here, let me clarify. By hollywood standards, not by the avg womans standards. Jennifer's body is banging compared to the average, but compared to hollywood, it's just pretty not that great. And... if they were released on purpose they would have been photoshopped so that she looked hotter.

Regardless of what's occurred, people are still forgetting that the celebrities involved in the hack are still people - who gives a shit if they're famous or not, it doesn't justify anything as far as their own privacy being violated. If anyone on this board was subjected to the same humiliation of having their most private photos put all over the net, how do you think they would react? I am more than confident in the assumption that there are people here on this board that engage in behavior that would make the celebrity leak look tame by comparison if we managed to crack open some of the saved files in their hard drives, and would probably be equally, if not more so, humiliated, ostracized and embarrassed if their own secret life got out.

And, as usual he's gleeful in the suffering of other people - taking comfort that he can hide behind a computer screen. So, think of it this way - he's shared parts of his life with this board willingly, what's to say that it's not equally fair game for parts of his own life to be used for anyone's amusement, sort with a similar attitude of how peeps are with the private photos of the people affected by the hack.

Please, sympathy for the troll that is runningman, with all his bullshit, his celebrating the deaths of other people, racist, bigoted attitudes and narcissistic garbage is a waste of time, bandwidth, keystrokes and air. Fuck him.
