While there may be differences of opinion, lets not make a big deal about it

I, for one, really value MS

There goes Micko and his drunken tomfoolery :D

then you must check some music from Bajofondo and luciano Supervielle

Zitarrosa is saying .. "la milonga es hija del candombe, asi como el tango es hijo de la milonga like .. "the milonga is daugther of candombe, like tango is of milonga

i don´t think is possible to explain this here , but what he´s saying there is pretty far in many far senses

candombe milonga tango, are all like far universes of music and dancings very from southamerica on his south especially Uruguay+Argentina, and then to everyone that loves this

guitar there is very typìcal from zitarrosa

Talking about Bajo Fondo....... the genius Gustavo Santaolalla,

Did you hear that ??

far far far out of this world, :)

#1722563Post 24 of 34

Re: It doesn't take long these days for people to harpoon each other on MS

Truly beautiful :) I love the way he looks up at the end as though he is waking and is surprised to find people there

I swear I would shrivel up and die without music . Fortunately that is something no one can take from me, or anyone else for that matter, and it's always there :)

Stunning piece of music - very emotive

Didi, I agree with you entirely - I would feel depleted without my music

^I think classical music is the closest thing to having a belief in transcendence. Followed closely by Ricardo Villolosbos.

^^ "far far far out of this world" sums it up nicely. I can't even imagine what this sounded like in person. Live instrumental music can tenderize one's soul so easily. But that musician seems to go into a trance and forget everything, how wonderful to witness.

I really didn't get why people were so fascinated by Villalobos until last May when I saw him in Romania, he played for like 8 hrs and he absolutely blew me away such interesting and intricate music. If you'd asked me what he plays I would respond I don't know anything goes.

"When I've got the music in me, I've got a place to go." This is a cover, but I love this song so much, applies to anything musically inspiring::

And on Villalobos, there's just something so unique about his sets, and methods of song selection. No one else does it better in my books.

Re: It doesn't take long these days for people to harpoon each other on MS

"....a place to go" and "...something no one can take from me" are not how I've ever thought of music, but I LOVE those two concepts so much!!! It is "always there," so true!!

Great ideas shared, thank you!

I like his club night set back from 2003 [2003-09-06] Hr3 Clubnight - Ricardo Villalobos by jerome (official) on SoundCloud - Hear the world’s sounds Still I think that to really estimate what he can do you need to see him play one of his 5+ hour sets live

I love his Fabric release as a start, still think it's my favourite from all time. Fabric 36.

And to warm up, some of my favourites would be: [SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/climaxsounds/ricardo-villalobos-panorama[/SOUNDCLOUD]

[SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/dj-sneak/sneak-villalobos-live-cocoon[/SOUNDCLOUD] This a B2B with Sneak, definetley needs more than an hour sample. Killer mix.

[SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/stef13stef/ricardo-villalobos-rhadoo?in=lesenfantsdelelectro/sets/ricardo-villalobos[/SOUNDCLOUD] ^This is an awesome mix.
