I`m gonna be a real dad! :shock:

This has come as a MASSIVE shock to me as it was not planned at all. Ive just found out that the mrs is 13 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I cant tell you how I feel right now cos to be honest i don`t know myself. I know I should be over the moon but all I feel is numb.

I`ts gonna take me some time to come to terms with this.

I know that numb feeling you're talking about. At the time my instrument of choice was guitar (pre-EDM phase of my life)... and when I heard the news that she was pregnant, my first words were, "shit, I've gotta go play my guitar". That was the only thing I could think of. I just wanted my child to know me for what I am... a musician following my dreams. Not what I had become with my ex.

Having a baby totally changed my life. It's been one of the greatest things ever. I was able to get out of that relationship, and follow what I truly want this lifetime... with determination. I think my inspiration was reborn with my daughter. Having a child will teach you levels of love that you never knew existed... whether you think you're ready for it or not.

Second of all, I totally understand your reaction, when my g/f told me she was pregnant I was like "ok, cool, are you sure about that?".

I mean, if it?s your 1st, what the fuck can a guy do? We just have NO idea of what it?s like.

But today, like Michael said, I?ve found stuff inside that I didn?t even know was there. It?s a whole new pespective on life you?re getting, man.

When the Mrs... is later in her pregnancy are you going to do an ultrasound to see if it is a boy or a girl? If I was going to have a kid I would keep it a mystery, hell they didn't have the option of changing a kids sex back in the day why even bother knowing what it is now. The powers and mysteries of child birth.
