So I am rather conflicted... don't like being cracked out

but I sit here, first time drinking heavily in a while.

my head hurts, I feel like shit, in retrospect the conversations I had last night were slurred and rather aimless --- all in all it's dissapointing and I just feel crappy.

Morals and technicalities aside (like alcohol being a drug) which does everyone prefer?

weed doesnt quite count.

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

Steady mixture here, but lately it's been more alcohol than (hard) drugs.

I really dont know whats best.. it seems like im getting myself in trouble more often when alcohol is involved.

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

Can we have another option please?

Heavy mixture.

As long as we dont go into the finer details of the drugs themselves I dont think there`s a problem.

i missed work friday because i got so drunk thursday i hated it i really dont want to drink for a long time. On the other hand doing hard drugs really can be fun if you're with the right people and in the right enviornment but it always seems to get to the point of being cracked out.

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

i got high on Gee Oh Dee

no not really, but I'll do them once in a while. I'm a happy drunk so I don't mind getting drunk. My brain can get out of control when i'm on illegal substances so i try not to do it too often, not to mention, too much of a good thing can really tweak your brain. we'll all be paying for it in the long run.

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

Alcohol is my least favorite drug.

Imo, weed is on a par with alcohol in legal terms.
However weed is far superior in real terms.

and weed won't give you a hangover the morning after

the thing is, fall is turning into winter really fast around here, and with the cold I usually start to drink more, it's just no fun being stoned and freezing your butt on the line outside the club.

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

I like coffee and cigs ... I abuse both equally to the point that they could be considered drugs.

I also like a lot of hot sex.

Gotta mix it up. Drink too much too often, you feel like shit. Do drugs too much too often, same thing. Keep a balance and keep your body guessin'.

what month is it there? do you guys observe fall in may, or are your months offset from the rest, like it being november or something there. or is it all taken care of in the language translation? it might be november there, but nobody knows the difference because "november" in your language just translates to "may" in english.

i'm confused.

it's Mayo now, spanish for May (hehe), the months have the same names, we just have the opposite of the north hemisphere season, winter/summer, fall/spring and the other way around. So most people eat heavy, high-calorie winter foods in christmas and the poor guys that dress up as Santa have the sweat of their lifes

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

and note: those who say weed isn't a drug in the defined sense need to relook at the definition more closely....it's ok to smoke weed, but seriously, stop with the hippy crap and come to terms with the fact that it does affect your nervous system and does alter your thought processes. it's kind of like when people are addicted to weed but say it's not addiction, though somehow they have a dependency on it....

no weed is without a doubt a drug..

the reason I said don't consider weed is because I meant for this to be debate of more over the top situations.

ie not smoking a joint or sipping on a glass of wine. While both drugs, neither are very strong when compared to acid / hard liquor / speed / etc

#414064Post 29 of 60

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

As far as addiction goes, I've seen a couple of heavy mj users quit their habit without problems. You can't even compare it's dependency with the one created by cigarettes.

Of course it messes with your nervous system, that's the whole point of drugs, isn't it?

and who are you calling a hippie? huh? :P

I'm gonna agree with you on that. It's no where near as bad as the legal drugs. ;)

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

i admit that i drink quite often, and always to excess. i no longer really smoke the sticky icky that much though. i get way cracked out on weed now for some reason. as far as hard drugs go i like to keep it to a once every six months kind of thing with the right music and the right people. that way it feels like a reward...

#414072Post 34 of 60

Re: Drugs vs. Alcohol

I went through a total alcoholic stage, stumbling home from everywhere (somehow it correlated with turning 21)

but now i drink lightly most of the time, but I do find I need some chemicals to help my stamina at clubs.

I haven't done ant drugs in a long ass time and honestly i don't miss them at all.

Drinking wise I don't even like getting smashed anymore. Just a real nice heavy buzz is all good for me at this point in my life.
