does anyone know who is running this or judging this?? It sounds like it's cool, but I'm wondering if it is rigged, because the prizes are awfully amazing...

i don't think diggers is judging either. perhaps when the person has been chosen, but it only states that future music are choosing the winner.

I wish I knew what the judges liked! I mean, there is such a thing as playing to your audience, and the judges are a specific audience for sure. Seems hopeless. :*(

I'm confused. I would think that since the contest is for opening for digweed, they would want a nice warm up type set, but who knows what they are thinking really. I think it's rigged. Oh well, I'll just have to find another way to open for digweed. Maybe have my own contest.

Maybe they'll get some Fergie wannabe. That should be fun. :D

On the Futuremusic thing contest "Rules", it states to do a 60 minute House mix.... now do they really mean House as in like Deep house, vocal house?

yeah, kinda dumbass question.... only reason I ask is because they might want a different kind of set; being that Digweed is the main Progressive/deep tech house guy, they might want something different...

Depends...cuz 18th of june at crobar Luke Fair opened for Sasha with his kinda house style and it was pretty cool even when Sasha hit hard trancy stuff afterwards.

heck, the contest has been out for 2 months now, so i dont think they will have too much sympathy

nice contest, there are a lot of good djs out there, but unfortunately its only for us rezidents. too bad, because in eastern europe and asia there are good djs ready to be discovered but they cant promote themselfs :)

i'm gonna keep it real by going old school.

all you guys and your "tekkie" record players have it easy. i'm bringing back the 2 8-track players and a the 2 fader buttons.

all i gotta say is that is a fuckload of gear you get if you win. you pretty much have everyhing given to you if you wanted to start a studio... i'm in!

they have to be recieved by saturday tho..
