Proper odd bod cunts. I go on the [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] & Digweed fan page on Sunday night and some cunt is mouthing off, because Aoki or some other DJ is doing some DJ broadcast to a club, when he's not even at the club. Some other cunt then pipes up, that he wouldn't see one of his boys (meaning [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] or Digweed) doing such a thing. At this point I feel the urge to step in and point out that [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] did this on 1st January 1999 when he broadcast a gig from London's Alexandra Palace to Blackpool Ballroom using ISDN. I am then laughed at because I must be making it up (even though it was also broadcat on Radio 1) because [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] was in New York on 1st January 1999. I then demonstrate that I am telling the truth, with a few flyers etc, followed a more ROFL and am then told that the date on the flyer says New Years Eve. I Then tell the idiot that is the date the event started, but [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] played at 4 am, making that 1st January 1999. Followed my more ROFl. At this point I tell the person that they should learn to read and that they are a cunt. At which point they delete the thread and ban me.

I have to admit, I had to unjoin that group. Seeing endless pictures of peoples Sasha & Digweed collection (which was nothing special) everyday gets really boring, followed by someone having to remind you everyday what a great track Space Maneuvers is.

Carl Cox's Millennium gig was supposed to be broadcast using ISDN to Don Valley Stadium for Gatecrasher. You were supposed to be able to see people from party's all around the world. It never happened though. They couldn't get the equipment to work.

That page is for "grown men who worship another two grown men" [Dermott]. The admin is a fine person, though, and he means good.

I remember the ISDN fad, it was cyber-punk state of the art back then.

That said, that news snippet was posted by many others and the implications of it (in "EDM" terms) are scary but can that scene really sink any lower anyway?

It's kind funny how fans hold their favorite DJs in such high esteem. They somehow have to believe that they have the up most integrity, when in reality they probably don't. You only have to look at how Digweed allows his forum to be run, or Sasha's attitude towards his fans, as highlighted above. I don't know, maybe Aoki or Guetta conduct themselves in the same way.

We can't really compare the silly EDM world to proper dance music (whatever that means). With that out of the way, I don't even like it when rooms are filled with males (100%) whose only interest is in IDing tracks and counting the times they have seen that dj play.
