I've just gone to edit a post for a thread I started yesterday and the edit function has disappeared. I can edit this thread, I have just posted but not earlier ones! Has a time limit been added to the editing function?

Yes I have implemented a time-limit on editing / deleting old posts.

Same reason flying is a PITA these days init? Few people tend to ruin it for the majority.

This would be particularly hard on music contributors as this person is. I can't see what good it will achieve. ???

Compiling tracklists is great fun, Shazam has made it easier and adding the time stamps makes you focus on the music more. Which is very enjoyable and great way to spend your time. The lack of an edit function makes all the threads look disjointed. If you want to find an active link or an ID of a track, you have to trawl through loads of pages.

Surely it would have made more sense to not allow people to edit until after a period of time! Older threads could then be updated and people couldn't edit out threads, where people had made cunts of themselves, until everyone had witnessed it.
