Re: Regardless of Genre - a good song is a good one

Easy.

Sorry, but It's not a good song. reminds me the last scene of American Pie. :)

Re: Regardless of Genre - a good song is a good one

Not expecting everyone to like it. Country is an acquired taste, I never liked it, I've lived in a "country" area for 12 years now, local flavor's rubbing off on me ;)

Re: Testing the waters with alternate genres

The last country artist and maybe only, that I liked was Garth Brooks. Kind of the "Tiesto" of country music . But his music was amazing. I'll have to ask a friend to recommend some quality country because the only artists names I know are the pop country artists from award shows who win everything and I don't like them much. This song has a nice rhythm but didn't hold my attention for very long. My wife would probably like it and has probably heard of it. She the country fan out of the two of us :).

Re: Testing the waters with alternate genres

Is this country or folk? It was lovely when I heard it:

I've been hooked on Of Monsters and Men and Naked and Famous these days.

Re: Testing the waters with alternate genres

^ more folk than country I'd say... it's beautiful though. What's your fav from Of Monsters,...?

I'm open to all genres, just has to sound good to me in a moment. There was a time in life when I was really into country, because of someone I was dating at the time I think; don't most people go through that [phase]? haha

I am pleased to say my taste in music has never changed because of someone I dated. Although music sharing has enriched some of those dates. :)

Re: Testing the waters with alternate genres

I guess I can't really disagree with this so called 'testing' the waters of other genres, not proclaiming some form of dignitary throne, but I probably have the most obscured musical taste ranging from Punk, punk, classical, and jazz, did I mention punk rock?

I'm pretty sure we all out there have signified tastes, recently I can say that today whilst working, this song has been on repeat, I kid you not the whole fucking day... Solid 8 hours repeating this song.

I still think the circumstances that led to the argument started from this thread is pretty sad, considering an opinion is a mere opinion, nonetheless, worthless in value in the perspective of an internet forum in the subject of EDM.

Ah well, shit happens.
