Re: I bought a house! (Updated with pictures)
I currently live in the Plaza, and love the location. the new place is in Raytown, which isn't nearly as cool as the Plaza, but the house and the distance from work makes up for it

Depends upon what you're in the mood for. Bryant's has got great sliced meat, Gates' has got kick ass ribs, and I'd drive to KC right now for a spoonful of the beans at Smokestack out in Martin City.
The great thing about KC BBQ isn't what you find in the restaurants, though -- it's what is going on in people's backyards, outside of Arrowhead on game day, or at the American Royal every year. That shit is crazy good. As a BBQing community, KC can't be beat.
Tell you what -- swing by my place this Sunday afternoon, and I'll overcook a pork steak until it's tough, then dip it in ketchup with a pinch of brown sugar and some store-bought baked beans for an authentic St. Louis style BBQ feast. Christ people in this town don't know what they're missing.
Your dad knows what it's all about. That man can smoke some ribs...
Congrats on the new place PM -- looks like a great place!

I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart yesterday and bought a new queen sized bed (upgrade from a full), bed frame, headboard & footboard for the bed with matching dresser & matching chest & two matching end tables, a matching couch & loveseat set with built-in recliners in each end (4 recliners in all!), a fridge, and an entertainment center... 16 items total will be delivered on the 12th
Pictures to be posted after I get the place furnished on the 12th or 13th! After that, I get to go buy shit for round two, so expect two more sets of pictures. :)

congrats man...when I make it to the States, I'll grab a beer with ya on your back porch ;-)
Re: I bought a house! (Updated with pictures)
all i can say is NICE HOUSE! Just get rid of that waynescoating in that one bedroom. That stuff is crappy and it kills the look of the size of your walls. I only say this because I am an artist and you can't hang big paintings with walls that have that stuff.
Re: I bought a house! (Updated with pictures)
Here's a few more pictures of the place in case you guys wanted to see my new furniture/etc... I've been living here for about 3-4 days now, and been busy as hell trying to unpack/organize/etc. Ignore the bare walls and lack of unpacked stuff... it'll get there over the next few weeks :)
I may take more pics in a month or so if you guys are interested and show you the end result.
