[URL="http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/mrscruff"]Mr. Scruff[/URL] will release an album through [URL="http://www.residentadvisor.net/record-label.aspx?id=80"]Ninja Tune[/URL] in May called [I]Friendly Bacteria[/I].
The musical paths of Ninja Tune and Mr. Scruff are tightly woven. The celebrated crate-digger, tea brewer and cartoonist has released three of his four albums to date through the long-running UK label, including a 2008 effort titled [I]Ninja Tuna[/I]. His next LP is called [I]Friendly Bacteria[/I] and will land on digital, CD and double-vinyl formats.
To celebrate the album's release, Mr. Scruff will throw a 9.5-hour bash at The Roundhouse in Camden, North London, on May 31st. Kicking off at 2 PM and running through until 11:30 PM, a mix of bands and DJs will perform, as well as a slot from Mr. Scruff himself. The full lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks.
