Season 1 felt more contained, Season 2 feels like a bigger cast, expanded stories on supporting and side characters, a more sprawling plot, and consequently the set ups, betrayals, and alliances felt more layered.

Quite a rush keeping track of it all. And I'm slow on the uptake since I'm not familiar with the intricacies of politics in the US.

Frank and Claire Underwood are really fascinating characters.

Without giving away too much there were [SPOILER]two sex scenes that I found surprising and quite bizarre.[/SPOILER]

its best to remember on here that most people are joking around....some have a drier sense of humor than others....if you did find something really offensive towards you, you should notify the admin ASAP or speak to the person via PM....most come on here to relax and have fun.

As for the frappe reference, not sure what you are meaning by it, but I guess it has to do with why you are upset....maybe just shrug it off & move on....life is too short.

I'm still around, just less active on here. A LOT less active, but I'm still here. I have a little girl who is systematically, but lovingly, destroying my home, and between that and being busy at work, I've just not had a lot of time for really any message boards, not just this one. Most of my internet communications these days are 140 characters or less. :)

But he expanded on the topics he wanted to. I presume he's an old hand at this and is very clear on what he would and wouldn't answer.

now i havent finished season 2 of HOC yet, but my only gripe is that its not as sharp as the first season, still better than just about 99% of tv out there, but not as well written.

:lol: I'm not being a prude about it but that scene was completely unexpected and bizarre. I was trying to reconcile that with what I know of the characters and the series and wondered if it contributed anything. Did not see that coming at all.

This thread looks like a lot of little boys running around with their fingers in their ears yelling, nah-nah-nan-ah !! Of course there is something wrong!! Active members are about a third of what they were a couple of years ago. It might be more helpful if instead of pretending all is well, and denigrating anyone who suggests there isn't, to look at it and wonder why ?? We have lost some great members. !!

most reg's got banned Di, lured into arguments which set a bad tone right around the whole site...at one point just about every post was a "my penis is bigger than yours and I'm into you".

This is tiring and passe.

Every quarterly / half a year / year a thread like this surfaces. The music evolves, life evolves, people evolve, this board evolves.

Maybe there were a lot of shit going on behind the scenes that resulted in unhappiness with management and that spilt out into the forums with a lot of discontention. Maybe some people have real life problems that spilt into this forum.

But those of us who're here are still here. And not everyone is less present because of the nastiness. Life happens, people are busy with the real world beyond their keyboards and this forum.

I just found out my ex is suicidal and I wake up to this. How's that for some fucking perspective. Fuck you whining miserable fucks. Nobody here owes you anything to keep you happy.

long time no speak chicky!! I hope you are well :)

i see your side completely....for a while the reason I didn't post was because of the nastiness that was on here....good, loyal, kind members were being belittled & attacked for everything they said. Kamal, pickle, Tom, and the rest of the mods did a great job dealing with things & clearing things up. it seems to be a common thing that circulates into forums from time to time....just the nature of things....when you hide behind a computer it makes it easier to be ballsy.

I know my situation now is I just don't have the time that I use to. the majority of the "old schoolers" on here are now married & have children... priorities shift. & I think that is the majority of the reason for the decline in participation....also as things change in your personal life you find certain topics pointless/uninteresting so you don't bother to participate....I'll be honest, I don't even read 90% or so of the stuff on here anymore....just doesn't appeal to me anymore
