Re: Fabric 74 - Move D

better be, i'm starting to think about cancelling my subscription. The recent cd's have been dross for me. The only one i listened to a second time was Cassy, and even that ist that great

Re: Fabric 74 - Move D

The last one I really liked was Ben Klock's though I might add I haven't listened to Ben Sims mix yet. In terms of fabriclive I really enjoyed DJ EZ's mix, looking forward to Pangea's, too.

Interested to hear your opinions on why they haven't been better (Simon)? Most people would agree the past couple yrs have been good muisic wise, why is fabric putting out shit? Doesn't make any sense :/

Series is very varied .. a lot of the Live series are duds. You can end up with anything from garage to drum & bass to reggae.

Plus there's a lot of quantity involved at 12 releases a year.

The series hit a high with Guy Gerber, and Sandwell District's release was nice if you like that tougher german industrial sound. The Damian Lazarus, Agoria, Shackleton releases wren't bad. Surgeon's was excellent.

List of CDs here.

Will see if I find any gems when I unwrap some of them. Cassy's sounded ok from the first few tracks and she played a v good set at Sasha's Ushuaia Towers in the summer.

Re: Fabric 74 - Move D

The last two fabrics I really enjoyed were Fake Blood and Sandwell District. I hope they pickup once more and start putting quality mixes out once again.

i,ve been hearing things about fabric offering people a gig in fabric + a cd but in the contract the artist signs they are told that they are not allowed to play in london for a certain amount of time ( poss up to a year )... if true then i guess its creating a monopoly for the club with it being the only place you're going to see that artist in the area for quite some time...
