Wow I just happened to read a lot of negative reviews from the people that were at bpm... From Darius syrossian to what happened to just regular clubber peeps. It seems like a nightmare to party over there.

This whole thing happened like a week ago. Apparently darius threw a tantrum to the girl that was working the door of the club he was playing at because they were charging his guestlist 40$ to get in. After Darius's set the bouncers came back to get him and beat the crap out of him. BPM made an official statement denying the whole incident they even made MIXMAG publish a small article about it stating that darius made the girl at the front cry and that security " escorted" him back to his hotel without any physical assault. No one knew that this video existed until a few days ago when it appeared.

to me the video doesn't really prove what really happened. to me it looks like darius was the first to get aggressive. i heard his accusations the day after, and then heard a few things about how he was acting towards everyone. the odd thing is that lawler hasn't defended him in any way that i've heard. and he posted on his fb page earlier that evening about the two of them at dinner sorting through tracks for the night.

regardless, the festival is pretty awesome! this was my 2nd year, and i plan on going back next year. i don't really care to back to wmc because of bpm! i really like the vibes of the day parties at the beach clubs. the 2 main night clubs where events are are so so. main issue is that they get so packed. and there's kind of a harder edge to the crowd at coco maya and blue parrot. they added clubs this year that they didn't have last year that really give you more options for the night parties. a couple smaller more intimate clubs that had much nicer vibes that the 2 i mentioned.

all in all, it's 10 days of really great music on the beaches of mexico in january when most everyone else you know is freezing their asses off!
