Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

Tragic loss for his fans and of course friends and family. Having just been in a car wreck myself (the other persons fault) I can't help but think that we all are a little preoccupied over the holidays while behind the wheel. I wonder if the driver was under the influence or texting or something.

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.
The 40-year-old actor was a passenger in a Porsche that lost control and crashed in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, killing both occupants.

A post by the actor's team on Facebook says he had been attending an event for his charity to raise money for people affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines last month.

"We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news," the post said.

"Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time."

Universal Pictures, the studio behind The Fast and the Furious movies, has released a statement saying it is "heartbroken".

"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans," it said.

Celebrity news website TMZ, which first reported news of the death, says the car hit a post or tree and was quickly engulfed in flames.
To the driver of this car, R.I.P if you have passed away as well in this tragedy,

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

Yea the driver was another racer as well, both burned in the car (Carrera GT). So sad, I really like Paul Walker, something very genuine about him, even in his acting personality, his originality seemed to come through.

Rest in Peace for sure.

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

There's a video that shows the car in flames and pics of the wreckage. Don't feel that it's necessary to see though, situation is sad enough without a visual.

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

Do you think the people who filmed the car on fire were wrong for not getting out and approaching the vehicle and pulling out the people inside?

I just googled the car crash and came across a photo of Paul Walker's face badly damaged from the wreck, which was an accident, and I kind of wish I hadn't seen it. ugh. RIP, condolences to your family.

i think sitting on your armchair it would be easy to say that if you were in that position that you would of stripped your shirt and tie to reveal your superman costume and save the day however if you were there you would most certainly react in a different way

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

^i agree. I'm all for helping ppl, but a burning car is intimidating to most of us mortals

My friend ranted about the ppl filming vs helping

Re: Paul Walker, Dies in Car Crash.

You can never judge a situation if you're not there. You never know the full context of it.

Remember reading something from Albert Camus from The Fall; "People hasten to judge, in order not to be judges themselves."

i don't think they were wrong for not going to help as it was a very dangerous situation......HOWEVER I do think they were wrong in filming it & sharing all over the internet. People are literally dying in the video as they are shooting it....just not right IMO
