Re: Live in ?
True, would be nice if he would mix it up a bit. Between his current gigs and the old tapes he could be putting out compilations four times a year, Transitions every week, and not release a Bedrock comp ever unless he wants to.
Really fascinating how the Digweed brand has evolved. I wonder if this was always in the works when he started Bedrock. That would've been one helluva foresight.
Who'd have thought a DJ would go from being beholden to a label, putting out comps on Renaissance, MOS, Jackpot, and GU to a one-man empire with his own label which is not uncommon but a radio show and his own Live In comps.
Google says he's worth 45 million.
Thinking about it I do wonder if he should give more time and space to showcase the artistes on Bedrock and let them do some comps to bring up the next generation.
As I was reading your post I was entertaining the thought that he might do a "live in" with one of the bedrock artists or guest dj...a couple discs each to get a real vibe..eg Live in with xx with Guy J...or even something like Danny Howells' warm up set that was on electronic groove...
but as tiddles said..as long as these keep getting released
