Digweed is headed to San Fran and San Bernardino... anyone going? Anyone know what venue in San Bernardino? I couldn't imagine partying there at this age, or at any age tbh. San Fran of course is cool...

San Bernardino is far and it's a kiddy rave. I don't know if you wanna see 15yr old kids rollin'balls.
I'd say San Fran is your best bet!!!!

Re: Fao: California members
I haven't been to anything over 25,
pre-sale started at 10-15-25 .. dunno why they are charging 50 now.
Re: Fao: California members

Where is Sasha plying at ? I know Hernan is at the Mighty
Re: Fao: California members
90 mins sounds about right.... did it end up being worth it honestly? I guess I probably have my answer.
Re: Fao: California members
I think it was...his after party made the night complete. Maybe he has something similar planed for Orlando ?
Can you buy one day tix for the one in Orlando ?
Re: Fao: California members
I'm not big into the clubbing scene, so how do you get into an afterparty? Do you need to know someone whose in the know or are they publicized events where you buy tickets?
Sasha is playing at Vessel on 12/12. http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?530410 $10 tickets :D
Wow Nick Warren at Harlot in November too, good few months for music in SF.
Re: Fao: California members
^Thanks! ya.. I don't think I will be able to go to all of them, as much as want to hah
Re: Fao: California members
The party in SF was incredible..
I still can't quite pinpoint what it is about his style that I like so much, but i am yet to see another live DJ performance that can come close to what he can do (at least from my own perspective), and i've only seen him 7 times.. two of which were Vagabond shows but still, not that's not all that many.
During this show in particular his sound had a really modern feel to it.. very complex.. clever electronic music that engages you mentally on a rather deep level which I didn't expect. It just made me feel like i was listening to something new that is pushing the boundaries of what EDM is today, and where its going.. something that I've never heard before.
The set fit right into the urban/tech groove of San Francisco.. I would close my eyes and it almost felt like if i would walk outside i will be walking on a street in the middle of London. We really don't get that kind of music here..
Either way, if you can catch him on his NAM tour.. do it.. he seems to be "on it", but then again from what I hear.. he is not off form all that often.
I was enjoying it way too much to be able to record any of it.. I only got 5-6 mins , here it is

I can't be 100% sure, but i think he played a few tracks from Versus.. Pig&Dan's Morphism sounds amazing on a proper sounds system.

Re: Fao: California members
Wow sounds amazing! I must catch Digweed next time he is in town. :O
Re: Fao: California members
Dope video and review, wish I had been there. Considering edc, Cassy, art dept and a few others I'd like to see.
Re: Fao: California members
I really hope he picks the one from SF.. but i doubt it

You will have a good time for sure.. you seem a bit hesitant because its a festival, but it will be fun :)
Wow sounds amazing! I must catch Digweed next time he is in town. :O
It was really cool :)
But yes, he seems to come to Cali more often now so we might get another show in March before MWC kicks off
Re: Fao: California members
ah so you can only buy 2 day tickets. pass :(
Re: Fao: California members
Cool, hope he comes back in March! I've seen Digweed a few times in LA, and from your review it seems like his sound is very different when he plays in SF. I've always heard that he changes the music he plays based on the location and venue but never had the chance to experience it for myself. :D
Re: Fao: California members
Looks like I very well may be working at the event! Which would be a win win for me.
Re: Fao: California members
^ Doing what? That's awesome!
Re: Fao: California members
I'm definitely working the both days, from like 11am - 12am... so I'll get the full spectrum of it all . sober though of course, which will be interesting. But to answer your question Rawr, I'll be representing Motorola, basically hanging out.
Re: Fao: California members
Nice, great place to work! :) Have fun.
Re: Fao: California members
Make $500 instead of spending $500  and enjoy the tunes ;)
Re: Fao: California members
So this was my first time hearing him in an open air environment. Having see S&D at Coachella years ago, at least there it was in a tent which makes a big difference as far as sound is concerned. His set at EDC was a measly 60 minutes. Not nearly enough time for him to do his thing. His mix set was pretty good though, just sort of a strange juxtaposition with the TRAP and Trance sets that had been playing mostly.
posting a few random videos I took in a minute...
I still can't believe how loud this festival is in terms of the bass. It was just stupid bass heavy.

Re: Fao: California members
sounds like shit
Re: Fao: California members
no kidding. 99% of it was pure shit.
Re: Fao: California members
thanks for sharing!
It seems like it didn't live up to the Las Vegas version .. not that its all that much better in terms of music, but at least he stages are a bit better.
Also i was expecting him to play for at least 90 mins.. one hour is not enough .
Good thing you didn't pay for it
Re: Fao: California members (now with videos)
What time did he go in Vegas? They had fire and fireworks, but could have done a lot more...nothing like Coachella, not that the 2 can be compared at all.
