An old rich man buying an extraordinarily expensive toy from his childhood. Salesman asks him why spend so much on an artifact, million dollar response - "I can always make more money, I can no longer make new memories".

Coincidentally, that's the name of Henry Saiz's next album

^ Sounds about right.

"I can always make more money, I can no longer make new memories". So profound, money is only a means to an end, not the end itself.

True fact. We all tend to forget about It until It affects you or is upon you. Makes me sick to my stomach any time I think about It but It is always there.

My aunt was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Mortality has been all over my mind recently. She's in a hospital bed 1/2 mile from my house as we speak. Sad is an understatement.

Sorry to hear that John. The only prayer I have for the inevitable is to have it painless.

Thanks gang. Last night my family served dinner at a great organization that serves homeless women, mothers and children. It was great to get together and give these women some hope, especially with all that's transpired lately. Hug the ones you love tightly and don't let go so quickly.

Re: One of the best lines I've ever heard...

When you put your mind to thinking about how awesome life actually is and focus your attention on the wonderful cosmic fucking jackpot that we're here at all, rather than we're going to die, the easier it is to go through life with a sense of joy even as other people's time around you ends, as yours will end too one day in what will be a very minor event in what was an extremely overall grand experience. It's indeed painful when someone dies, I was recently reminded having just lost a close friend, but I quickly focused my thoughts on how awesome he was when he was alive and it's those memories that swirl about my brain as this world lurches forward, and I do not think about his death, or even death at all, even as it happens all around me- it's his life, and life itself that keeps me smiling.

Well said Jenks. It's hard to look away from the shit and concentrate at the beautiful garden it's been plopped in, it's just human nature I guess, delve on the worse and end up ignoring the better :(

Truly sad to read that. Nothing but positive karma and thoughts in your direction.
