After last's year i didn't think i would've recommended going to edc to anyone, but i kind of had to go this year because a close friend of mine has a birthday and he wanted to go so..

But anyway, they've improved the stages and sound systems overall.. the house music stage was way better than last year.

Its 18 and over.. felt kind of old for the most part, but it was good times so i didn't care. It was interesting to see how the age groups changed with the different genres.. the trancy/dubstep stuff attracts the younger crowd, and when you move towards the house you get a bit older people.

I also recorded an hour of Hawtin, a bit of Loco Dice and Digweed's set .. but i haven't been able to upload it yet.

EDC was amazing in Vegas! Empire of the Sun and Bloody Beetroots I thought were the best performers. Only thing that sucked was trying to get a shuttle.

^ For me Sasha was the best performance.. despite the short set he managed to create a journey, and he also managed to make that outdoor stage feel like a smaller intimate club.. I was impressed.

i heard quite a few funny ones, most of them had F bombs dropping left and right and the people sounded like they were drunk as hell (or something else).... the one that stands out the most was a couple guys talking, one of them saying "yeah my buddy and his girl just got here. they are fucked up but i told them they need to stay for digweed man. you gotta stay for digweed man! daaaaang." yada yada... lots of "he's tearin' this place up man! digweed's tearin' this place up!"

i'm impressed that this was filmed from a phone. the clarity was better than anything i've tried to record and my battery gets drained so fast.

Different days.. Sasha was on Sunday, Digweed on Sat. John was part of the "Carl Cox & Friends" thing.. Sasha wasn't.

hah yes.. i pretty much stood there like an asshole and recorded the whole thing :D but i still enjoyed it.. didn't impact my dancing all that much.

It has couple of HAAC mics and a decent recording algorithm.. works great. You can get about 2 hours of HD recording before running out of battery.
