Over the years you lot have listened to many hours of music, as have I, but some of you have listened to far more than others. At any rate, if you had to choose 1 mix, that you personally sat back and enjoyed THE MOST, what would it be? Which mix, album, compilation, various artist mix, live mix, you name it, would be your #1. Oh and it has to be primarily electronic music.

There is no need for debate, this is strictly your personal preference:

I'm going to have to go with Airdrawndagger. It was the kind of mix that blew my mind when I first heard it and still does to this day.

Re: The perfect mix

It's a tough choice but I think my favorite mix of all time is: Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?

The other two that are really close would be: S&D - Northern Exposure 1 - CD1 John Digweed - Live at Massive Utrecht 2000

Re: The perfect mix

I dragged this out the other day (as in I ripped it from youtube because you can't buy the fucking thing digitally anywhere) and thought it sounded as good as ever

this one always gets lots of plays when the weather warms up

if i have to pick just one: [SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/danny-howells/danny-howells-essential-mix-2002-pt1[/SOUNDCLOUD] [SOUNDCLOUD]https://soundcloud.com/danny-howells/danny-howells-essential-mix-2002-pt2[/SOUNDCLOUD]

I used to listen to it almost every morning when I walked to work in Bordeaux. Lots of memories on this one but I've got it mostly memorized now.

Re: The perfect mix

SimonR gets to post as many as he likes. Because he's SimonR :). Cool choices man. I'd be curious to learn how each individual mix represents perfection to your ears, and why 1 doesn't stand out more than the others? If possible...

Well, I think that Choose just one is a bit impossible. As I said before, Sasha in Ibiza and Dave Seaman in Buenos Aires, represents a very special moments in my life, Because Im a very big fan of the classics and bla bla, so, I think I could choose 3 or 4 special mixes per year, all bring me good memories or are excellent for the quality of the mix.

So, I will keep giving my essentials. :D

easy....

For DT's GU Athens its because DT mixes all genres (Trance, Prog, Tribal, Tech, House, etc)perfectly on Athens flawless mix. He really captures that Big room sound and takes the listener on a musical journey

sure man .... I just wanted to stray away from some of the GUs and NEs ... as others were posting them.
[]Gerber's fabric is a concept album .... based on the concept of his relationship breakdown & pretty much made in 3 days - it's my current #1 CD on rotation []Voorn's is amazingly sequenced and programmed - batches of tracks but together with lots of unexpected turns, with sounds appearing all over your hifi []Hernan's is underestimated - pure cinematic bliss and pretty much faultless []Digger's T4 is the best of the series and pure alchemy
Surprised Sasha's GU 009 isn't mentioned yet. Never fails to amaze and fresh every time I play it.

So all perfect in their own unique way.

Also two completely perfect live mixes....

Both of these sets are incredible from start to finish....perfect sounds from that time. Amazing mixing and flow.
